Would someone mind clarifying this installation step for me?

In my functions.php file, I have two instances of the"?>" code.
Do I copy the contents of add_to_functions.php file above both places where ?> appear?

Go to the very end of the functions.php file. Add the code just above the ?> .

Thats is what i get on my portal after i modded the functions.php like said in the readme file. Seems to work fine but that error message.

You are using vbHome (lite). Get the vbHome archive add-on instead, it will work perfectly after (plus is better then this hack ;)).
Make sure you undo all changes you performed onto your files, related to the archive hack, before you install the add-on.

Im Using mYvBindex v3.1. Does that cause any problems? If so i can always uninstall it and install vb home lite. Seeing that was the first portal system i was using. Which ever works

If you do not use vbHome, then you should not get the error you mentioned before.
Check the code in functions.php file.
