You gotta give it a little bit of time for the search engines to recognize it. If you have the bots set to crawl at 6 requests per second, you might see the seo change within 1-2 weeks. But not messing with the webmaster tools, it'll probably take 4-8 weeks before you see noticable changes.

Maybe it was to do with those links that get added to the bottom of every page, I am pretty sure I hadn't seen the bold green mention of it in the first post.

I've had this mod for the best part of a year.

I've asked the mod maker this question, but never got a response.

How is this mod any different from me manually going into a page, and stuffing it with keywords? Doesn't this basically do the same thing? It takes the search query and inserts it into the page. I thought Search Engines look for this type of behavior on pages and I thought it had a negative impact in SEO

I'm wondering why this was removed from the mod graveyard. The developer seems not to answer anything here and there is a long list of bugs.

Still getting odd entries: 페르시아어의 섹스 이야ê

(example above)

What does this do? I can't see that it added anything to my site.

cdoyle 01-09-2011 08:37 PM

It will add the search terms that people used on the search engine to find your site. If will add the terms to your main forum on forumhome. If they found a thread via a search engine, it will add the search term to the thread.

I'm still not convince this actually does help your search rankings. I had it installed for about 4 months, and didn't see any thing different. I uninstalled it because of the back links back to the developers sites.

Looking at the back links, it tells Google Bot and others to follow it. So in a since, it's like we're giving the developer a high SEO rating.

No support seems to be provided.

No updates provided.

No questions answered.

And this seems to add 1 or 2 queries

Thinking I'll un-installed this.

Un-installed

1st thing I noticed was my site got noticeable faster.

I'll report back on my SEO rating in 1 week or so.

I've uninstalled this mod, however I still have a section in siteadmin "SeoForum Queries plugin" that gives a database error when I click on any of the links (because everything else on the mod was uninstalled).

Did I miss anything to unistall it?
