Hi , im trying to make a new user group ( a donator group) that will be able to see what is hidden automatically like an admin but just a regular user i tried to configure in the admin cp but it is not working does anybody have and tips

this is great hack but it is only useful for texts or if the attachment is embedded in post with the attach tag I mean.

But is it possible that it hides the whole attachment box without adding the hide tag?
For instance I chose to enable this in forum "Updates" but I don't want to use the hide tag there...I want to attach the file and when someone replies or presses thanks then the attachment box shows otherwise it is hidden.

If that would be possible then this would be even better...plz try to solve this issue...or I will try to send you some ss to make it more clear if you need to, lemme know.

is there any chance of some edits i could make as ive just transfered from ipb to VB and the hide hack they use is [hide_me] not [hide] what would i have to edit so all the posts would still be hidden

would it be just the bb code to change or other bits

well it's not that difficult to hide away the attachments,
but it's not that easy to let them show up on thanks/reply again.. not with ajax,
you'd have to reload the entire page, I don't like that thought.

On the other hand: Someone may not want to hide an attachment, and that's where it starts to stumble.
too much querys for too less needs ;) just tell your users how to hide them if they want them to be hidden :D
