I've installed the archive addon version of this hack for the vbhome (lite) (I'm running VB Home Lite 4.2), I used the archive download from TECKs forums, and I have followed the installation file that was in the zip file to the letter...
I've also done the install 3 times, yet I'm constantly having the same problem. I have not edited any of the templates because I've read here that you dont need to, and if you do it will mess up the whole thing. But I'm having problems. Here is the URL to the archive: http://theborg.cjb.net/archive/ My site runs from the root, with the forums in /forum etc but the archive background is white when it should be the same colours as the rest of the site, it has a gross white 'bar' along the top right hand side of the screen, and its missing the navigational buttons, of and the links to the archived forums say this when clicked on: 'No forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster' Does anyone have any ideas? I've attached a small screenshot section of the page so you can look at that, if you dont want to click on the link above. Thanks Andy EDIT: Uploaded image to this url: http://www.sanjiyan.pwp.blueyonder.c...d_archives.jpg |
You should ask this question on the support forums, for vbHome (lite).

If you already have an .htaccess file can you just add the code to it?
<files archive> ForceType application/x-httpd-php </files> <files forumdisplay> ForceType application/x-httpd-php </files> <files showthread> ForceType application/x-httpd-php </files> RedirectMatch 301 /archive$ http://www.yoursite.com/forum/archive/ Where would it go? At the top or the bottom? Does it matter? |
doesn't matter
