Well, THANKS for your help! :D

Just kidding. I fixed it and it now works with Apache2. You have to add this to your http.conf:

AcceptPathInfo On

Add this where you put all your AllowOverride stuff or in your VirtualHost paramaters. Enjoy folks.

Now I just have to pretty it up.

CLicks INSTALL.

Please add me to the list, Xenon!

I have been trying to add the line AcceptPathInfo On, but can't find the correct place to put it! i have put it in incorrect place and http wouldn't run :(
Can anyone please help
btw, I am using Apache 1.3.27

I also tried to turn all allowoverride
but seems not working

I figured it out - in my httpd.conf file AllowOverride was set to none for my entire htdocs directory. All I had to do was turn on AllowOverride for that directory and it's working now.

I could still use help on how to have it pull the data from my slave server but look like it's coming from the main. TIA

thank you so much

I am using:

<?php
header("Location:http://www.mysite.com/forums");
?>

as an index.php so when typing my sites URL you are automatically forwarded right to the forum homepage.

Will this cause any interference with search engines out there being able to spider my site? I want to install this hack that makes it easy for Google to spider my site and index it, but I am worried if it will work the same since I am using the redirect.

Please help,
Thanks

And how do i now it works? because i have installed the hack, but i don't have a clue if it is spiderable?

Well it worked great for awhile...1000 pages in google, 100x more traffic, but now it semi works, but the header includes give me an error.

Any php gurus have any ideas? I have not changed the scripts at all, but I believe my host upgraded the php build not too long ago.

Error:
