Your /forum directory .htaccess should contain: (change RED text to match your site name) Code:
# Comment the following line (add '#' at the beginning) Then also add this to your root .htaccess (if your forum is not installed in the root): (change RED text to match your site name) Code:
# Comment the following line (add '#' at the beginning) Also check and make sure your sitemap files are getting created. You should see them in your forum directory along with your vbseo sitemap logs. Check here: Code:
forum/vbseo_sitemap/data/ |
Thanks :)

thanks very much for help bzcomputers ive tested this rewrite rules on a blank .htaccess but im getting still the same 404 Not Found error.
my forum is in the root directory. ive also tried without the character # before the rewrite codes. and yes the sitemaps are genereted. clicking on this links gives also the not found error: .../sitemap_forum_1.xml.gz but clicking on ...vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=sitemap_forum_1.xml.g z works. seems to be a strange rewrite error? any idea? |
