I don't want to punish the vBulletin customers. One of the biggest profiteers of this platform is Internet Brands due to the huge choice of free modifications. Why should we support THEM?

In my opinion vBulletin is digging it's own grave.

Punnish vBulletin customers because of vBulletin's corporate ownership policies and business practices ....

If enough mod developers follow suit it will hurt IB.

Why the hell should a mod developer (doing it all for free) keep making mods for a piece of software they no longer believe in?

You wouldn't keep serving burgers in Mc Donald's after you got fired now would you! Stop being a damn ass. The developer disagrees with the ethics of IB and has chosen to punish them the only way they can. Get over yourself and respect their decision.

Well partner, judging from your comments, I suspect I've been probably owning and running businesses long before you were born, so if you'd care to have to leave me a phone number via PM and not hide behind an anonymous Internet pseudonym in public postings, I'd be happy to call you at my expense to take this discussion off line where it belongs. ;)

I have no dog in this fight with either side, but I can guarantee you that if it's about money and any true legitimate copyright claims versus a cult following of past relationships, then I would choose to wait until someone is left standing before I'd bet the future of our entire site on the outcome by choosing sides right now. :D

My issue is simple, punishing our 13,000 members to make a point about corporate values is silly and not going to accomplish anything. Well, upon reflection, that's not quite true. We were about to send the author a nice PayPal donation after testing and finding this mod very good for our members, but since it's now dead and not supported, I guess it has accomplished something by saving us some money.

Regards,
Badger

Edit: ps ... uninstalled with thanks for you past efforts and work ...

@BadgerDog:

there are even more people who support me to port iTrader to XenForo. For example, somebody paid me a XenForo license today so that I can start working as soon as possible.

I don't want to be rude, but iTrader (for vBulletin 4) has more than 500 installations. Onky around 10 users have donated for it (for 8 months of development). Do you really think something like this is profitable for the coders here? As I already said, all these modifications here benefit the vB customers, as well as Internet Brands.

Nevertheless, iTrader 2.7.6 is very stable and there are no known issues. I am not deleting this thread from vbulletin.org, because I want the users to be still able to use this mod.

I believe I already know the answer to this, but as someone who would rather see this mod continued for the good of the members, would you consider allowing someone else to continue development of this mod for vB?

@SecondV:
maybe I will continue to update/support this modification in a few month again, as I am focusing on XenForo at the moment.

And if there are security issues, I will update it as well. However, new features won't come in the near future.

I have a error when i upload the .xml on admincp:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /furanet/sites/strike-games.com/web/htdocs/includes/adminfunctions_plugin.php(920) : eval()'d code on line 2

Any solution?

Thanks!

I got same error from zip file in first post, why did you say you had fixed this?

I am also getting the T String error. I have gotten it with VB 4.6 and now with 4.7.

I understand the developer is not happy with the owners of VB but I would like this system on my site. If the developer gets in touch I am happy to pay for this mod if he can give me a version that works.

Currently I have it installed and it all appears to work until I try leave seller feedback and then the fields are all blank etc.

I have vBulletin 4.0.7 and I installed this product v2.7.6.

When I want to show a profile, it shows me these warnings:
Code:

Warning: require_once() [function.require-once]: Unable to access [path]/includes/functions_itrader.php in [path]/member.php(128) : eval()'d code on line 4

Warning: require_once([path]/includes/functions_itrader.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/member.php(128) : eval()'d code on line 4

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/www/doc/www.xxx.com/www/includes/functions_itrader.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /www/doc/www.xxx.com/www/member.php(128) : eval()'d code on line 4

How to fix it? Thanks.
