Well, you need to go to www.ioncube.com/loaders.php and download a loader archive that is made for your system. Then you upload it to yourserver/www/ioncube/ and run the php file within it to see whether it'll work.

I uploaded the installer and got this info:
but, this just sends me to the place that I downloaded the original file from.
I have a bunch of dll files in the ioncude folder now, does that mean it is set up and will work?

Seems like you've uploaded the files to the wrong folder.
It says that it cannot find the loader, which means that no - it will not work. Try putting files into the php extensions folder mentioned (C:PHPExtensions).

I opened it from my desktop and let it decide what folder to create it in. I gave it FTP info and it did the rest on it's own. I don't have access to C:, it's a shared server.
Does this mean it won't work?

On a windows server, yo would usually have to ask your hosting provider to upload the ext. for you.

OK, thanks. They charge a monthly fee for this, so at this time if IonCube is needed I will not be installing this modification. I appreciate the support you offered.

I'd like to add some text to the top of invites.php that reminds members about our strict membership requirements so they think twice before inviting someone.

I've looked at the file, but I don't see where I could insert this. Any suggestions?
