Nope, the issue is only 11 show up whether I click on MORE or not.

I too am getting a white background in the chatbox. I have a dark forum, so it's standing out quite a bit. And yes, I've reverted the templates.

ChatBox displays the same background which uses text editor for posts or PMs.

This is expected to be dark for dark styles...

editor_background is variable which you may wish to change to fix custom styles background color.

Admin C/p
Style Manager
Choose style then from the drop down menu
Style Variable Editor
Scroll down to editor
Editor Background
background colour change to suit

Upgraded to version 3.1.7 on a VB4.1.10 and works fine. Now integrates fine in my two (dark and light) styles.

Your latest is working fine on vB4.1.10 for me also.

The only quirk I have (since vB4.1.7) is; I have one smilie that will not render (it did prior to 4.1.7).
>:-} shows an "evil" smilie everywhere else on the site... it even shows in the chat smilie dropdown, but when selected, it only shows the symbols in the chatbox... all other smilies work in the chatbox.

is there anyway to change the size of the text input box ?

I switch the color in my editor then I can't seem to now get the text in my forum, from black to white. Any ideas on what to do with the back ground color. I want to change it from the white to black without switching my forum colors around.

OK it will not work with vb 4.1.10 now. I'm lost and nothing seems to work to change the color from white to black. When I go into editor it changes my whole forum colors. I just want to change that. I also took out the program and re-installed and it still didn't work. I'm lost, lol. Any ideas anyone?

• replace it with your desired color

Thanks for the fixes. I have a suggestion to make the chatbox even better.

Add an option to allow usergroups to report messages in the chatbox.
Don't know if thats an easy job, but it would make my moderators job less time consuming.

Does anyone know how I can make the size of the chat box fixed?

I've upgraded to the latest version ChatBox 3.1.7 (with vB 4.1.10) and I cannot seem to find the option to automatically deleting chats after a given time? On the previous version (if I recall correctly), I used to have this set to 20 mins. After that time the messages would auto delete.

I had a chat with somebody yesterday on my site and the conversation was still there today. I had to manually delete the conversation myself. Does the product still retain the ability to auto delete the messages? If so, could you please advise on how to do this please?

When things get slow that happens to us also - last chat in the box is 2 days old - but I don't think I want the box to go completely blank.? What's the point?

I think it's just a reflection of how we all use this product in different ways. The autodelete used to work prior to the upgrade and that's how we want it on our site. I also think your requirements are valid too.

Nothing's changed regarding Auto-prune.

There is an option in product settings.

It seems you have some problems with the following product as apm_X fields are part of it:

Thanks for the pointer. I was thinking it was a problem elsewhere. Reinstalling APM fixed the issue with installing the upgrade to the chatbox.

I have a dark background on my page as well so I had to fix the background color, but I noticed that the input box was unchanged by it, so I went into the vsa_chatbox_input template and added:

background-color:{vb:stylevar editor_background.backgroundColor};

after

<input type="text" class="primary textbox" name="vsacb_entermessage" id="vsacb_entermessage" style="width:100%;font-size:{vb:raw vsacb_textsize};color:{vb:raw vsacb_color_default};

Hope that helps some other people in my situation :)

Be glad to. Don't fool with it. It's a hack to a hack. While it might work for those knowledgeable enough to make it work, it will never be supported and can only cause you trouble. I know I would never install it.

If you really need a chatbox with sound, get one with sound.

I see that the standard color is white. How to change that?
