I've got what I hope is a minor feature request:

Is it possible to have the mod obey the "Show Images" flag from the UserCP->Thread Display Options->Visible Post Elements when it comes to the display of the embedded video?

Instead of displaying the embedded player, just display the title link to the video alone so users who have opted not to show inline images in posts don't have the inline embedded player displaying a still from the movie.

G'day, I have encountered a problem after installing vbBlog:

Code:

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.2:

Invalid SQL:
UPDATE blog_text SET ame_flag=0 WHERE blogtextid = 0;

MySQL Error  : Unknown column 'ame_flag' in 'field list'
Error Number  : 1054
Request Date  : Friday, May 1st 2009 @ 04:27:47 PM
Error Date    : Friday, May 1st 2009 @ 04:27:48 PM
Script        : http://www.archeli.com.au/forums/blog_post.php?do=updateblog&blogid=
Referrer      : http://www.archeli.com.au/forums/blog_post.php?do=newblog
IP Address    : *************
Username      : **********
Classname    : vB_Database
MySQL Version : 5.0.60

It has been noticed and posted on vbulletin.com here:

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=306835

I thought i'd note it here so we could work out the solution - I doubt it is very complex to solve; apologies if this has been noted - I don't have time to wade back further than 5 pages; please point if you know the answer.

I'll post the fix back to vb.com when we know more.

Thanks for a great mod!

Will

UPDATE: I have just seen this:
Code:

AME vbBlog entries and comments
Yes No

this indicates that there should not be a problem when using vBBlog - and I have also confirmed that the blog entry is created despite generating that error. Perhaps there is some extra config that I need to do for vbBlog integration?

SOLVED: by uninstalling and reinstalling AME.

not sure if this has been asked (because I cant really do a search for flv):

Can this play .flv files??

Does anyone know that What is the correct value?

Oy Vey
It REALLY shouldn't be that complicated to add this and make it work.

Does not work out of the box on a default 3.8.2 system.

Is there a reason why AME won't show up in ADMIN CP in the navbar?

Edit:

I got it working, had to uninstall old version then re-import XML.

Wow! This mod just gets better and better:up:

So replace in ame_output template

Code:

<div style="display: none;" id="ame_noshow_$ameinfo[id_tag]">
        <a href="$ameinfo[url]" title="$ameinfo[title]" target="_blank">$ameinfo[title]</a>
</div>
<div style="display: inline;" id="ame_doshow_$ameinfo[id_tag]">
$ame_results
</div>

with something like
Code:

<a href="$ameinfo[url]" title="$ameinfo[title]" target="_blank">$ameinfo[title]</a>
Basically! I'll give it a go! Cheers:)

PERFECT!

You rock. Thanks for this good sir!

Installed on one vBulletin site and it works great. I just tried to install it on another and I am getting warnings like the one below when I try to convert the posts. I saw other posts about making sure all the files were transferred and into the right places. They are in the correct directories and all the files were uploaded. I used my ftp program in the "Auto" mode. Should the files be ASCII or Binary only? I also checked that the cache permissions were set to 777. Any other ideas why I would get this error?
