What has been the experience of folks here who have installed this, with regards to the most optimal dimension size to choose?
Thanks ... :) Regards, Badger |
Ok, went with default settings....
Marked installed on v3.6.4 with vbadvanced and works just fine... Thank you Spleasure... clean, simple install... even an old Fortran code dummy like me handled it ... :D A few thoughts.... Perhaps expand the mouse coverage so a user can click anywhere on the pic and it expands or contracts. I found it a little un-natural to have to move it to the top small yellow bar all the time. Perhaps I'm just too used to clicking thumbnails that way... Second, what does weights mean? Isn't the term file size? Finally, maybe an option to do away with the yellow bar and description thing, just permitting people to expand and contract the pics by just clicking on them. Less distracting? Thanks again for some terrific work to solve an annoying problem from people uploading large pics and overunning the board. Regards, Badger |
I do agree with BadgerDog's above post...even though this is an already superb mod...this would be over the top exceptional if his comments were taken into account and updated.
It's a quality mode, that's for sure! |
The rationale behind the yellow bar is the fact that using this method the image itself can still be a link (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/)

Understood.... I did try another image resizer mod... https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=125500 It worked fine and simply expanded the downsized pic back to original sizw when clicked upon, but it had nowhere near the AdminCP functionality or UserCP options yours does. It was also a bit "touchy feely" installing, having to wade through template changes, whereas yours is pretty elegant. However, I did like the transparency of how he did it with the dotted lines around the pic that had been downsized and the intuitive "hand" appearing as the user moved the mouse over it. In any event, thanks again for your work... :) BTW, what is a reasonable (optimal) X&Y set of numbers to set for defaults? Is it 640x0, 640x320, 800x600 etc.. ? Finally, I assume I can change weights to filesize in "prhases" without any adverse effetcs? Regards, Badger |
