Where do you want it located?

You can have it linked off a forum link, drop down menu or on the NAVBAR itself.

Just use the Style Manager and edit the templates associated with the chatbox. You can use the Style Manager's search function to find all instances of alt1 and alt2 and reverse them. It took me 2 minutes to hit them all.

thanks I managed to make the white color of the chat, but nothing I did not touch the style of the forum, but in any case thanks!!
see on picture new is ok and all work fine thanks amigos!!

[QUOTE=VBDev;1853329]Search in this thread this has already been stated.

Well I don't like vBAdvanced and don't have it, per consequence I haven't done any effort so far to make it work on vba.

I might have a look at it soon.

Please VBdev this is a great chatbox and i would love it on my vbadvanced pages

Please

how much load does this cause on the server compared to lets say vbshout 2.0?

The load is not noticable unless you have it displaying on every category, forum, page, etc. Then it can become apparent on ANY box. Personally, from the 200+ installs I've done for people, everyone said it's the fastest and most used (MGC).

Still looking for help on why my icons are not working for the channels. And also for changing the background of the chatbox.

To get channel icons to show up, open up the zip file. You will see a Channel_icons in the zip right when you open it. Take all 6 images inside Channel_icons and drag/drop them into Images\misc\mgc_cb_evo\channels in the zip (this way before you send it's there), or after you upload the files, copy the channel icons to Images\misc\mgc_cb_evo\channels of each style/skin you have. Then make sure you created channels in the MGC Admin area and they will show.

Between the chat and VBA for MGC, I've gotten them to work on almost any forum. Chat not working on VbA is typical if the forums are outside root..... Like if you have www.site.com as vba, and forums are forums.site.com that will need a recoding done for VbA to work.

PM me ur site info, ftp etc, and a Yahoo/AIM s/n and I can walk you through what I'm doing and teach you too... Just make sure you take a database backup prior. It's always a good habit to get into.

I installed the chatbox on my forum www.desimeet.com and I am coming across few problems, the chatbox is loading very slow for few users, the shouts are getting displayed after 1 minute for few users, and few others complain that they are not able to see the chatbox, just blank.

This is happening for every 2-3 page refreshes.
Even though few users are loving the chatbox and its functionality.

Could you please help me with this?

Well, for one thing, you have so many plugins installed, so saying the chat is the issue, is hard to agree with. Just from the ping and searching, your forums are slow to begin with, without the chat. Sounds to me like you are running an old version of the chat, or never uninstalled an old version correctly when you did an upgrade. More info is needed.

I installed a fresh copy of 2.3.2 version.
The problem is not with everyone, few members only

From what I have noticed the slow or stuck chat is caused by an individuals bandwidth. What I mean is this the refresh of chat will not occur if the person is doing downloading of any kind and sometimes if they are uploading. It seems the chatbox times itself out and never truly populates if it reaches a certain ammount of time. Anyone not using a lot of their bandwidth doing other things never experiences the chatbox not refreshing or getting stuck.

Side Note : If you get the chatbox coming up but blank its usually because an ascii character was inserted on someones chat msg, most commonly with PS3 users. Just go into archive and delete that bad chat or edit and remove the bad character which will be obvious when you look in the archive.

Hope This Helps Some of You!

VBDev :
We are ready for your new release / update. You have addressed and fixed many things already. Save the rest for the next release. I'm betting the better functionality and speed improvement is wanted by all who have installed the chatbox.

WooHoo!
