Hum that might be a bug, I am adding this to the todo list and will give it a look as I was going to release the new chatbox version by the end of the week.

They do not dissapear. If you have the notifications active and you haven't activated the "Separate chats and notifications queries" to yes then if lots of users posts there will be more notifications and the oldest chat will dissapear from the chatbox though being seen in the archives.

Is this what you were experiencing ?

Well then it's certainly because your VPN server is slow or because your forum already had lots of images and so on and it takes time to load them ?

The permissions for the channels is in the channels management page in the admincp and the refresh rate is userroup based so you can find it in the usergroup permissions page.

The way to add the chatbox to the arcade pages is explained in the readme, you should read it !

Well this totally depends of the forum style, it could be that the alt1 is perfect but not the alt2.

The chatbox is natively developped for the default style, then if you want to fit it for your exact needs in terms of color and shape up to you to modify the templates, see my point ?

It works in small window at the forum home site, but in full size (forum/..../evo_cb_evo.php) full mode - it just reload. It can reload for ever, and never show anything. :)

I know that. My point is that those options aren't granular enough. I want to be able to allow my premium users to have more BBCode options than a normal user. The granular controls are in the main "Chats formatting and sending" global config, not usergroup config.

I have BBCode on, but Font controls off (since I can't limit who can use them by usergroup), yet the font control are still visible, but don't function.

No, embedded below. The font sizes are HUGE. I am able to choose "smallfont" styles for everywhere but the lower embedded online users area.

I have many themes. Some are light, some are dark. I don't want the chat area to be dark, for readability reasons.

I was just saying that "open in new window" should open in a new window, not a tab. It's fixable with javascript, no big deal. That was the first complaint I got during beta testing.

Just use the Style Manager and edit the templates associated with the chatbox. You can use the Style Manager's search function to find all instances of alt1 and alt2 and reverse them. It took me 2 minutes to hit them all.

Channel Image Problem Solutions:


For each Channel, you have to create 3 gif images which ends like below:

• _sel.gif (image displayed when channel is selected) (original color image): http://epaloids.com/images/misc/mgc_...hannel_sel.gif
• _nosel.gif (image displayed when channel is not selected) (slight transparent of the original image): http://epaloids.com/images/misc/mgc_...nnel_nosel.gif
• _new.gif (animated image displayed when the channel contains new message, if warn system is active): http://epaloids.com/images/misc/mgc_...hannel_new.gif

This is why it says to not put the end of the image name.

For example, if you name your images :

• staffchannel_sel.gif
• staffchannel_nosel.gif
• staffchannel_new.gif

Into ACP > MGC Chatbox Evo > Manage channels > Add Channel

Name of the channel image
Don't put the file extension nor the sel/nosel/new suffix.
The images must be uploaded in the images/misc/mgc_cb_evo/channels folder.

You would use and put in that blank field space : staffchannel
