when i upgraded to 3.0.1 arcade.php is just a blank white page. does anyone know why?

Check your templates. This is because you need to add the arcade templates to each style on your forum. When you have a white page you either don't have any templates in your current style or you did not install them correctly.

problem:

when in "showthread.php?p=xxx", and i click on Search, the Arcade search is not there, its only showing on the main forum page. any ideas.

v3 Arcade is a wonderful hack and brings a new alternate life to the forums. With challenges and competitions.

The problem I face though is members sign up and only play the games. Where they have no activity in the forums. So what I'd like to do is find out about limiting play time.

First off I'd like to define that if you are under so many posts you can't play in the arcade period.

Also... people who are in a specific usergroup only get a certain alottment of time per day.

Maybe like an if / else statement for usergroupid

I am not sure if this would require a cron job or not. Furthermore... being a PHP Novice I don't know exactly what would need to be edited and defined. If I could get some help with this I'd be greatly appreciative.

the first part is easy. I have 2 usergroups, the first is the default Registered Users. I set there perms so that they can see the arcade but not play in it. The other usergroup is Arcade Users. I have set up a promotion for the usergroup Registered Users so that when they hit 15 posts they get moved to Arcade Users usergroup via a cron job. Simple but effective.

yeah but is easy to spam to get 15 posts then they dont need to post again to carry on in the arcade which i find a lot of memebers aint doing now so i have laid off adding new games.

I would like to show in the "who is online" which game a forum-user is actual playing. I did not manage it to extract / use the parameters do=play and gameid=x

Has someone an idea how to realize that ?

Sounds like you're describing a vb2 admin/index.php file. vb3 files appear to have a header at the top with the licence number.

I've just installed like 9 skins. How do I get the arcade templates onto each style? I ryun the aracde isntall script, but I only went as far as to "Add New Templates," after that it prompts me to "Apply Database Changes." Should I do that as well? Because afder "Adding New Templates" nothing happens...

If i remember correctly you need to edit your vBulletin Options and change the default style to one of the new ones, then run the first part of the install script which will do the templates. and it will add it to the style.

Basically the installer only adds the templates to the default style, so you need to keep doing this over and over for each new style you add

I've read in other Forums bout this Problem, are there any fixes?

I use vbArcade 1.0.1. If there is a way to fix this without updating, please tell itto me, becaus i've translated the arcade.php

How is the above scores possible? Look at the seconds played and the score. Shouldn't the score be based on the seconds the chopper is flying?

Have you set your permissions for the arcade in the usergroup manager?

yes i have i tried making a test account didnt worked with it and it doesnt work with the admin account either

Every second the chopper is in the air, you gain roughly 30 points. Someone who can dodge sticks for a minute will have 1800 points give or take a few. Basically your champ was at it for around 2 minutes...

Bryan i just replaced all the php files back which i backed up before applying this hack and did the editing all over again, i guess i made some mistake in editing

astra-sri well technically i "re installed" arcade myself, since i didnt made any changes to template or database or anything, i just replaced the php files and edited them again and it was working fine for me, hope that works for you

Right... I managed to delete all the database entries and run the install script, which went well. But now it says I don't have access to the arcade?!?! :S

I have installed the latest v3arcde version and from what I have read here I'm supposed to have a link in the drop-down menu of the user in postbit, so that I can challenge!
