I couldn't agree with you more. This product was good in it's day but it needs to be revamped. We have been literally studying other video scripts and taking the good and the bad and have come up with a layout of what a video script should be, I have had to code myself a great deal of the "Media" script to suite our needs but it reached a point where it could not be modified any more short of rewriting it(and because I don't know enough to rewrite it myself ;) ) and we need a solid video script for our site, after all it is the main focus of our site, we have over 25k videos (20-30mins) with in a mod that is no longer supported; that can NOT be. I also have been in contact with Lanceforhire and I can't wait to get this started as well, we are looking forward to participating in the suggestions committee to share our ideas with everyone else involved. I know that we all put our heads together we can come up with a mod that we can all utilize and be proud of.

C'mon people we need a few more participants in this project, please let Lancerforhire know if you are interested so he can right you down on the list.

Create a notepad file. Copy-n-paste his htaccess script inside of it.

Save it as a regular word file like .txt or .rtf.

Now upload it to your forum's root. Change the name of the file to .htaccess

Get it? .htaccess is the extension, not .txt or .rtf

If you already have an .htaccess file, try saving the code at the bottom of that file.

Probably because you still have threads created inside your forum that contains links to the Media Library. Or maybe because you haven't deleted everything related to Media Library? I noticed the script for that error is media.php itself. So it must be still there...

Yes well I installed it all again and disabled it to stop the errors. We never actually got around to using this mod so nothing was ever uploaded to it. However let me try and uninstall it all again and see maybe I missed a file last time

It is a shame that the developer dropped support as a "statement" against IB/vB. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. While I do not agree with everything IB says or does, that is the wrong way to go about it - you should not treat users of your modifications that way. Looking through the thread, etc, it is also a shame the developer was not willing to let someone else take over development.

Good luck to Lancerforhire and all on building a new media library.

To be honest this mod should be moved to graveyard status if the guy has relinquished all contact with it and is not being developed further for the 4.1.4 issues attached.

Having the same problem with the so called character count - I input 500 characters and I get a message saying "Navigate Away" or "Stay On" this page. Nav away and the stupid character count warning appears. Stay and you just sit there. Pressing Ctrl+F5 made no difference.

this happened to me when submiting media fom nav bar :( but works when using Submit Media at bottom of page main page?:) strange!

so for now ive removed submit media from navbar as a work around. vb 4.1.4
