I have a question regarding the paycheck issued by the "paycheck period" option under eBux Options.

I found 2 scheduled jobs in the Task Manager for paychecks. They appear to be the same job so I wanted to clarify what they do. Both are set to run at 1:10 AM by default, I've made no changes.

I've reviewed all the options and only option I could find related to the paycheck was the time period and the amount.

I'm having some problems with this, it seems that the points don't seem to be adding up when people post.

I have people in a custom usergroup who can't view any options. I checked the usergroup options and there doesn't appear to be anything to set who has permission to buy.

Would anyone be able to come up with something that will allow members to buy access to use vBshout ?

Or maybe explain how it could be done in an easier way? :nervous:

Have you upgraded lately? That looks like an old build. Many more options have been added to that area now. If you have upgraded, refresh your browser, if that doesn't work, reupload all of the files and import the product .xml again.

People who have been having this problem have found that the user purchased something in the past that had an expire problem. Clear their flags and user history and see if it fixes it.

That's weird seeing how this is a php & mysql product which does work on macs as it's a universal language.

Are only certain features not working like the glowing username? It's possible the glow doesn't work. I know it doesn't work in firefox or opera.

What errors are they getting? Why are they saying it won't work? There might be something else wrong.

Did you set the points in the AdminCP >> eBux Options >> Manage Settings and in each individual forum? Set it in AdminCP >> Forums & Moderators >> Forum Manager >> set the points in each forum?

You can also do a "Mass Forum Settings" in AdminCP >> eBux Options >> Mass Forum Settings and set values for everyone of your forums at once. It's actually easier this way for most people.

I'm sure that other plugins don't need to be retranslated with every update (but they are not so famous like eBux/eStore).

Yes I did, everything is set up correctly and it is turned on. I think it actually worked for awhile because I had gotten some points, but then it just stopped working.

The only things I could recall doing was changing the title of the plugin in the manage plugins place and changing the description and also editing the prices and editing which items showed up.

Each Category under Manage Categories shows who has access to an option. Check in there first off. Then Manage Options to add more usergroups.

That could be done easily if vBShout has any hooks that are useful, if not, u'd have to hack the vBShout php file and/or template edits.

It's under the actual Thief store option. Manage Options -> Thief, at the bottom will be some settings.

Time zone settings are not taken into effect I guess, I need to read up on who to do that, the time its showing is the unix timestamp when its that time for your server hosting the vB is when it will be drawn.

If you go into AdminCP >> Plugin System >> Manage Products, find the eBux / eStore product in there and to the right of it is the version number. If you have upgraded in the past and only imported the product file without uploading files or vice versa, then take the latest version available, upload all files, and reimport the product allowing overwrite.

Go to the plugin manager (where you add the product files) but rather than go into manage products, go to plugin manager and make sure there aren't anymore eStore / eBux plugins that didn't get removed. If there are some in there, then delete them.

If that doesn't fix it, try reinstalling the plugin and then uninstall it again.

Holy crap you don't know what you're missing. Lots of new features and stuff since 1.0.5...we are now on 1.1.8!

It should work but you will need to revert your MEMBERINFO template and then reapply the template edits from this and other hacks to it. This will also hold true for the navbar. I think those are the only templates that get changed that are edited in eStore.

No you don't understand, I can't go into the forum at all, not one page works in the adminpanel or anything.

I would suggest going into your databse and finding the plugin table and the product table. Start off with the eStore / eBux products and then move to the plugins table, if they are still present and haven't been deleted. Set the active field from 1 to 0. Don't do anything else, and do this one plugin/product at a time until you find the culprit.

a) create a new usergroup that has permission to use the vbshould and then use the secondary usergroup store action to let users buy access to it.

b) if you want to add an option where it costs points per vbshout post, take a look at the action I created for the profile comments hack ... you can use the same code - you just need to figure out where to add it. I dont have that hack installed to point out where though.

So I did this. I bought someone 2 different gifts. Then went to their profile. Deleted one. Then went to the forums. It only showed the 1 gift I did not delete.

So I went back and deleted the last gift. Went to the forums. it shows that last gift still even though it's not longer on the profile


BTW I must say this is a awesome Mod .... I'm definetely looking at donating for your hard work when I get paid.
