no sound plays for me. I mean I can't hear any sound every time a pager message popup, only registered users can hear the sound, other than that, other user groups can't hear, like admin etc..

I have a question about installation. (I am not a programmer.)

The installation instruction lists three steps:

Step 1. Upload all the files from the "files" directory in this zip into your forum directory.
Step 2. Import product-pager.xml as a new product.
Step 3. Edit templates as instructed below.

I know how to complete Step 1 and Step 3, but I don't know what Step 2 means exactly. How do I "import product-pager.xml as a new product"?
Your tip is immensely appreciated.

Be sure you are runing vB 3.5.X and log into the admin cp. Towards the bottom of the left menu will be a typical drop down menu called plug ins. Open it and click manage product. Once that page is loaded there will be a link in the main frame that says import product.

Here's one i havent seen anyone post.

Warning: Division by zero in /includes/functions.php on line 1821

This is appearing in the popups when trying to delete your messages.

This is happening in IE and FF.

Also, an issue with this only working when someone is in the usercp, on the forum index page the system doesnt work.

Aslo still says xx amount pager messages in the navbar although they been deleted :(

Not sure on the first issue, most likely mkportal is causing all your issues.

The deleted issue and messages still showing up in the navbar is this. This total is actually the amount of messages the user has sent in total on the system and is not deleteable by the user, to remove that total you need to prune the system.

Im assuming maybe eau is grabbing the wrong info for that total from the DB, it should be grabbing the total from the amount of messages in the users inbox/sent box and combine that total together.

You can simply remove that call from the navbar or eau needs to grab the correct info. Ill look into it more as i dont like it either.

Your Hack is great, but it has one problem:
The AJAX refresh (to check for new messages) generates traffic - even to users who deactivated the pager.
Next problem: The refresh is done at all opened windows / tabs.

So if a user has deactivates the pager and opens 5 tabs / windows he has about 7 kb traffic every x seconds for a feature he don't want to use.
This is a big disadvantage for users with volume-based tariffs and for us because we probably have to pay for this additional and unnecessary traffic.

Is it possible solve this problem?

Thx!
