Its redirecting everyone back to the forum and not saving the scores after they have played a game and went to submit their score... anyone got any ideas?

1) read enclosed instruction "vbadvanced or other portal.txt" or check AdminCP->Arcade->Information
2) next time use support-forums... ;)

Upgrade on the 3.8.4 forums and installed at the vB4 Beta 4.

i have installed it and great but how come my forum side bar is not showing i mean the left side navigation and link bar see www.clearwaterbiker.biz/arcade.php

Working fine but i'm getting the error like the others in the INSTALL ALL with Tar files..

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/public_html/forum/arcade/functions/tar.php on line 748

I had similar problems with my server too. Ask your host to change that for you, or to give you php.ini file where you can change that value.

php.ini needs to be in directory where the php script is running (it probably is admincp (or if you changed that name, the name you changed it into)). Set time for execution to 60 or more seconds. After that, you can remove php.ini from that dir, or just restore values, or keep it there, whatever.

You could probably use php.ini I got from my host. Just find this:

"max_execution_time"

And remember what you change there. And that it's valid only in directory where it is, no subdir or on your complete server. You can have different configs in different directories.

EDIT: I just saw the path. You need to put it in /home/public_html/forum/arcade/functions/ directory, that's where the script is running. If that doesn't help, try put changed php.ini in admincp, or even in other possible directories.

I have been using this arcade for years now and I just wanted to say thankyou for your time and help in making this mod work as vB grows. It is much appreciated that you have stuck by the arcade as other people just leave their mods. If there was a mod of the decade, this would certainly win it IMO. So, thankyou again MrZeropage, you are much apprecited. :) I will probably get the branding free solution as I hope that money goes in your pocket, you certainly deserve it.

I just noticed, I said you can remove php.ini after that... The php.ini with changed values need to be in directory while you install games. After installation, then you can remove it and restore server defaults.

php.ini changes values (whatever you want changed) only while it's in the directory where you want values changed.
