Why would you need donation in the point market?
The donate in the point market bank is to add custom points to users in their bank account
it doesnt need gold version
but i usually add custom points through Experience plugin.

and for the lottery you can enable it in the Global Settings in the Point Market
im not sure if it requires gold version or not cause i already have the gold version

i just liked to share my knowledge.

Is there a way when the items are purchased for the msg to be sent to a user called "shop"

Also is it possible to entirely delete the forum items? I disabled them but in the shop it still show the top 3 forum items? How can i get rid of this?

i have got a problem everytime i go to admincp/pointmarket it keeps on saying

404 (Page Not Found) Error If you're the site owner, one of two things happened:
1) You entered an incorrect URL into your browser's address bar, or
2) You haven't uploaded content.
If you're a visitor and not sure what happened:
1) You entered or copied the URL incorrectly or
2) The link you used to get here is faulty.
(It's an excellent idea to let the link owner know.)

Hmm, if you disable an item it shouldn't show it as a statistic I guess. I am going to mark this as a bug for future fixes.

Do you have vBExperience installed? If so, what version? Secondly if you do and it is up to date then does your user have any points at all when they are viewing the market? A user must have a numerical number other than 0 in there field in order to view the market.

Create a lottery, it should work otherwise I'll mark it as a bug.


That means that you have not uploaded one of the XML files OR have not uploaded one of the ACP files. Reupload all XML files and ACP/MCP files, clear your browser cache and retry.



I need to get a new version out for this. vB keeps changing stuff too much it is irritating me.

I looked in the file and it seems that it has something to do with a template rendering. But I am not sure because I am not a programmer.

I installed it on 4.1.9, few days ago I upgraded to the latest version (4.1.10). It did not work with any of these versions.

I even tried to install the earlier version of the PMS (3.1.0) on vB 4.1.9, but I had no luck with that either.

Okay no biggy, I am currently working on 3.1.2 since I have today and tomorrow off (thank the lord). I'm using vb 4.1.7 right now but I guess I'll upgrade it to see what is going on with your version. Just to make sure, what point field (vbexperience, etc.) and what did you call the point field (Points, Money, etc.) Also, are the other market pages working that users can access?

OH, and is anyone getting an error when trying to go to the Point Market Maintenance page in the ACP? My server is refusing to let me view it.

Users can access market_bank.php and market_convert.php. Pages market.php?do=purchase_history and market.php throw the errors posted in my post above.

The Maintenance page is accessible to me.

You currently do not have permissions to access this page.

In order to gain access to this page, please have a Super Administrator setup access for your account in the Settings & Staff Permissions page within the Administrative Control Panel.

You need to edit your config.php file that is located in your includes folder of vbulletin and add your userid under the super administrator section. Then you'll be able to go in and create custom admin permissions for yourself and other administrators.

I can not seem to find the setting for the virtual store so users can sell things

and I cant find in the profile, I assume this is where they would do it, to add things to sell.

Any assistance would be greatly appriciated.

tomshawk, only admins/mods can sell virtual items that the users can use. I have yet to make it so that users can sell items; however, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for me to eventually include it if enough interest comes for it.

Anyways, a little update. I released the new version of the Point Market on the professional site. Because how I have worded the TOS I need to wait 2 weeks before I can release it here which means on February 1st, the Market will be updated to 3.1.2. I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest people go to vbulletin version 4.1.10 where a number of bugs that was in the vb code was causing the Point Market to not work correctly. I also fixed about 10 bugs and have some new features in it as well so it should be a nice little upgrade. Remember, February 1st.

So basically you want to take the store section of the Point Market and make it so you can restrict the buying of it to only certain usergroups? And then choose the currency for the item to be vbexperience, which you could simply do by having vbexperience be one of the 2 currencies you use?

I already have vbexperience as the currency, that was easy.

I just need it so this certain usergroup I configure can buy as well as sell in the store

I'd like to know if you can help me with point Market 3.1.0, my problem is that it seems that I can't configure the store objects. When I configure any object, be it email or through shipping or via download, I realize that the transaction appears on my screen with the message: "Error: DIV with ID "Storeslideshow" not found on page" and can't advance with the transaction.

I'd really like some help with this.

Reupload the root folder/market.php file. If you get the function_log_admin action that means you accidentally uploaded the admincp/market.php file.

How can I add fields to things I am selling?
Example I make a custom Donation Forums Item (The green Plus for new item then choose Other User: Donate and fill out the prices and exp dates ect) there is not option to add User name field (like who to send it too in the premade donate one) and when you check the item in the market there is not field there as well and clicking "purchase with points" comes up with the "not all details are filled out".

Can i use this mod for my custom cover forum?
members buy lets say 100 points for x dollar and for every attachement download there will be -1 point?
When they have no more points they cant download, so they need to buy or earn new points?

Edit the usergroup permissions page. By default I have it turned off for all usergroups.

Probably the biggest feature change is I have added the most BASIC point system that users can now use. It'll be great for forums who are doing a fresh install and haven't decided on a 3rd party point system or if you are debugging since it is the default. In addition, for forums that want to use 2 point systems and have the market point system be one of them, they can now use it. The bug fixes alone make it worth the upgrade.


3.1.3 which I've been working on is another bug fix release where I fine tune some stuff and also add several new market items to the mix :)

I have installed this mod yesterday and it is working like a charm. Great job! Keep it going, it's worth it!

I have one question, or request for future versions - is it possible to create categories when purchasing gifts? We would like to have separate categories in the list, where so far they are all mixed together and look cluttered.

I have found a temporary solution but it looks ridiculous in postbit - I edited all names of articles to have a same lettered prefix so they would all start with one and therefore be split in two parts.

This is just a suggestion for future releases. Thank you for the mod, anyway! It's very useful!

I am bumping the thread with the new problem I have encountered:

When I set store items to be downloadable, I tried every possible combination for the field that said 'file name' and members still cannot download their items. It tells them: "The Point Market could not find a downloadable item related to this product. Please contact a Forum Administrator for more information."

We tried setting path file to: 1) /pointmarket/downloads/filename.rar 2) filename.rar 3) downloads/filename.rar 4) pointmarket/downloads/filename.rar 5) /downloads/filename.rar - and none of those work.

I have also tried changing it to some other format such as an imagine or a track, and it still didn't work.

Please reply as soon as possible.
