a simple question....

What's the time frame for the shouts to remain showing in the shout box if it doesn't scroll off... if any?

No time frame, it's the last X shouts :)
The Pro version lets you auto-delete shouts after x amount of time.

One more question...

For some reason I'm not hearing a tone when a shout is posted and I've selected the pop.mp3 file selected for all 3 instances. I must be missing something...

New version installed, works fine, very nice update.

Every now and again i get this message: Error: Invalid response from server:

Can you explain more about what you were doing when it appeared?

I just talk. it posts it says that message and puts the text into typing box.

Strange, that would only happen when the browser didn't get any form of response from the browser, not even an error.

Do other members of your forum also report this?

Yes. everyone on the forums gets this every now and again.
