That number is likely from what they call the board's "Central Account". I looked around on vbCredits before they shut down and the answer is that you cannot see or edit this amount. All post awards (and I think other awards for that matter) come from this account. The amount in the account is replenished by the taxes on drawing winnings and any service fees on donations, bank transfers, etc.

If you don't want to use the central account (I don't), then you can do that. Go to the adminCP > vBCredits > Configure Specialty Awards > Spend Post Award System From Central Account and select "No"

:p sorry for my extended absense everyone. I've been busy with my regular job, preparing for the new baby which is due in about 3 weeks, and the large custom job which I posted about 2 months ago. If you all remember, I said vBCommerce's completion would be part of that job, and that I am under contract to finish it up in 3 months since that announcement. It's been 2 months, and vBCommerce is for the most part done, just needs the generalizing touches (right now it is in the form used for the custom job). Right now I am finishing up that job (there was much more to it than vBCommerce :p) and then will get to releasing vBCommerce.

Despite being RC2, vBCredits 1.4 is for the most part stable - the only reason it is not in the final form is due to the thread/post negation awards being removed for the time being. Other than that is some extremely trivial bugs, so go ahead and try it if you are waiting for the final version.

I'm going to now go through and answer the outstanding posts from the last week or so :p

Unfortunately, those are problems specific to vBookie, and I cant give support for its use (only for integrating with vBCredits)

Use the mass credit updater in the acp under the vBCredits menu. You can use it to recalculate everyone's credits or set everyone back to 0. If you need help filling out the menu please PM me (it should be fairly obvious). If your member's credits fluctuate wildly this might be because you gave full rein of the post award system to your regular members, generally if they have amounts with several dozen places.. otherwise its probably just bad settings, which I can go through for you if you PM me an admin login.

You can put 0 for the override value to disable the earning of that particular award, in a particular forum, for a particular usergroup :p

Did you also set the drawing date to something in the future? Does their usergroup have a nonzero ticket limit? Did you exclude your regular group from it in the drawing settings?

Will you guys be updating this paticular section so it checks for forums which are marked as "No post counts"?
Because if you setup a bunch of overrides for a large amount of forums, it slows the forums down to a crawl.

Is this still occuring? I have seen vBCredits installed on some big-boards and never had this kind of thing reported - in fact I developed a unique plugin optimizing thing to greatly reduce even the server slowdowns on sites that have multitudes of hacks installed (seen on a site with 250+ hacks installed). Are you certain vBCredits is the culprit (disabling the hack and seeing if it goes away, and then turning back on to see if it always comes back)? Are only certain actions doing this or is everywhere doing anything seeing an increase?

When a user has purchased the pass there should be another link to pay full price pretty obviously. If not then you skipped an installation step, probably the one to upload the file that comes with the addon zip (not just the edited files)

You can search for the EXACT phrase "credits" in your phrase manager and change the phrase it finds, or click the link in the vBCredits global settings (the very first option has it) and change it through that way, which goes to the same thing.

When I setup all the forums and usergroups I don't want credits counted for and save, the actuall page where you edit forum overrides then takes AGES to load, because there's so many usergroups/forums.

The forum itself slows to a crawl

Did you have RC1 or RC2 installed on vB3.6 prior to upgrading to vB3.7? If RC1, the instructions are in the zip for RC2. If RC2, then download the zip from this thread. Follow the instructions for installation (dont skip steps or do them out of order!). When you do the template edits some may already have been done, so just skip those as you come across them. Should do the trick :) If not contact me via PM.

vBCredits includes all the features and more of the cash system they are using (uCash)

Make sure that usergroup has nonzero maximum savings and loans in the usergroup settings. Choose carefully the maximum loans or they will get out of hand. Also check the global vBCredits bank settings to make sure you dont have any extreme requirements to access the bank (like a lot of posts, days registered, or reputation)

Do you have donation moderation enabled for that usergroup? If so, you will find the donations in the queue in the Moderate Donations / Awards link in the vBCredits menu in the acp, and you can process them there.

It used to be tied to auto disabled when no post counts - but some people want to earn credits but not post count, and vice versa. Using the override system you could have it any way you want. Does it slow down the forums themselves or just the forum override page (which is in bad need of some grouping/pagination I admit). I have some big changes planned for vBCredits 2.0, but keeping myself from working on it as I have other more important addons to work on first ;)
