I have VBseo installed, do i really need zoints seo for anything?

No. You shelled out $150 you didn't need to spend but that's now history. You don't need Zoints SEO.

The reverse is also true: if you already have Zoints SEO installed, you don't need vBSEO.

thats cool, I just wanted to make sure...I was looking for url conversion months ago, and i never could find anything that would do what VBseo did, so i bought it...no big deal.

I did a quick search for anyone else encountering this, but couldn't find antyhing.

Anyhow, I tested this on a vb3.5.7pl1 and it works great - except my navbar & breadcrumbs vanish from sight... Any ideas?

I can tell you that it's not this add-on. It's some other issue.

Are you using a heavily customized forum style? Try viewing it in the default vB style and see if you still have the problem.

Thanks djbaxter... I realised what the problem was - as you said, nothing related to this. It was a previous effort at URL rewriting I'd made, and in doing so had to remove the $navbar myself as it caused problems with vbadvanced. Once i'd remembered this, I reset to original values and hey-presto! :)

To anyone using vbadvanced LINKS directory, simply add
to the (links) config file, at the bottom.
Similarly, anyone using Mary's vBNews, use:
to the vbnews config file.

Works a treat.

Credit goes to rsj1, as reading a post she/he made gave me the idea for the vbnews.

This alsodoesn't work with digg.com when submitting url's - digg continually asks for the url again... if anyone has any ideas on how to fix that, i'd be very interested.

Don't use mod_rewrite.
