You cannot run multiple timers on a page... this has been discussed before - if your header or footer uses some kind of timer, then vbispy and the other will conflict and likely neither will work properly.

I'd like a modification of this script that lets me have it just grab new posts in a specific thread. every day I have a couple very busy threads that it would be prefect for. Right now, people sit and hit refresh a million times. something like this that just flashed up replies as they happened (or close to it) would work out great

You could look at the query that grabs new threads and modify it to only pick from certain threads, I suppose.

No. It's not interactive. It's more like a news ticker... but with forum threads.

Exactly! It's like the Digg spy app; just lets you watch as new posts are made to a forum in real time versus hitting refresh to get a new page.
