Hi,
I installed yesterday Fashchat version 4.7.9 in Vbulletin Forum. And....... My site closed 12 hours after installing due to using excessive system. Site activity showed only 58 visits in chat. My evidences: Reason: "These processes combined, began using between 60% to 80% of the system processor beginning today at approximately 10:20 AM EST and lasted until your Web site was stopped at 11:30 AM EST." http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/6662/59259349da9.png http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/811/22468240cl3.png |
That's the drawback of cheap, crappy, shared hosts.
Not sure why your posting it here though - this is not a Flashchat support forum. |
Problem: www.u-connex.com/chat/inc/config.php is a blank page. Any idea what I did wrong?
I uploaded Chat & Includes folder to my server. |
You cannot view the config file over the web.

For some reason when i try to access it via the ..../misc.php?do=flashchat (from browser) a page loads but the frame within (where flashchat is to preview) returns an error page (default hosting company 404 page)
Anyone experienced such an error? Did i miss a link that needs to be modified? I think (please correct me if im wrong) i have to upload the CHAT and INCLUDES folders to the server using FTP... ----- :eek: I realized now that I need to get the flashchat from Tufat first (now i know what step 1 was referring too :rolleyes: ) Just to be sure, after i install flashchat from tufat, on the server via ftp, do i still need to upload the CHAT and INCLUDES folders that came with Flashchat vb integration.zip ? |

* Flashchat can be displayed embedded inside a 'standard' vBulletin Page (i.e. not full screen).
Am I just reading this wrong? Everything is installed and OK, but I thought this hack would, when opening Flashchat, not open with it's standard full screen but rather in a vBulletin page; with maybe my navbar at the top or statistics at the bottom of the page. Do I need to create a template for this? |
Further down the post you quote ;
