Hello, thanks for the quick input, that is what I already tried, I saw the WHERE command while searching for the other SQL entries.

UPDATE user SET vbookie_cash=500 WHERE userid=_____ does not work.

error number: 1054
error desc: Unknown column 'admin' in 'where clause'

I have gotten one step further by entering:

UPDATE user SET vbookie_cash=500 WHERE userid='accountname'

(adding single quotes around the userid)

However, that doesn`t give me the 1054 error, but will give me an affected rows of zero, no change to the user`s vCash. The userid is spelled correctly, obviously.

That's because you didn't change the usergroup permissions or didn't follow the incredibly basic instructions.

that is because userid is a NUMBER, not the members name. use WHERE username='accountname'

When i select "post a vbookie event" and click to post tthread, it just comes up a normal thread and not the options to do my vbookie event, any ideas? Doesn't matter, i've fixed that.

My next problem no matter what date or time i set on an event i can't place any bets, all my permissions are set correctly, i'm 100% sure of that. Any ideas? :(

The times are backwards, my board time is gmt and my bookie is gmt but i have to set it for 4am if i want it to end at 4pm :( how do i fix that

I don't understand this whatsoever. If you're going to abandon this, why not let someone else try to resurrect it? There are 600+ vBulletin owners that have a use for it apparently, why not throw them a bone? It is an integral part of my forums and probably many others. Hell, charge for it if you want even, it is valuable enough to many of our communities that many would probably be willing to support it financially.

Seems I have everything working / installed correctly, however I can't seem to post vbookie events in the new threads. I never seem to get this option in the posting of a new thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...9&d=1123815803

I have created a new user group ("Bookie") and given them access to create events / manage, as well edited forum permissions. I see the vBookie option in the menubar, all works there. However unable to create an event in the thread.

Perhaps something I missed?
I've tried searching through the thread, but at 135 pages, it's quite tough.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

did you rebuild the bit fields so the permissions don't default back to no?

That was the trick.

Rebuilt bitfields, reset permissions for "Bookie" group, created even, bet.

I'm having the same problem, my permissions stay at yes but when I go to post the event and check the box for it the event never shows up, it just shows up as a regular thread. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's because you didn't read back far enough.... Its the single most talked about subject besides the bitfields..

Step 1. Log into your Admin Control Panel.

Step 2. Scroll down the left hand nav menu until you get to the Plugins & Products Area.... expand it.. click on Plugin Manager. This will then bring up all the plugins that you have installed within vbulletin...

Step 3. Scroll down the list and look for the Product : vBookie area... this area will contain all the plugins associated with vbookie....

Step 4. Find the specific plugin that needs to be modified (vBookie: Redirect to vbookie.php when posting new Event) and then click on [edit]. This will open the plugin so that you can replace the block of code with the block that Paul had in his post (which is located below)

Replace the current plugin code with this:

In case anyone wants to make it so only admins can settle bets (I know I needed that and I saw someone else post way back the same thing).

It's an ugly fix in that I didn't add any options to the actual mod. I just hardcoded in so that it would always be like that.

Also confirmed all the files are uploaded. Confirmed I did the template edit. But still no box to check to make it a vbookie event. Any advice would be good. Thanks

The only two things that I know of that prevent that from showing up are the Template Edits and the vbookie permissions within the usergroup settings. Are you sure that the settings are being saved and no reverting back to NO?

that if statement that you removed is basically saying IF allowed vbookie show the fieldset that's why when you click it still doesn't show you anything

which is bringing back to (i know you must be tired of seeing) one of the permissions that you missed and something else (stupid) but i have to ask

Did you turn on vbookie from your vbulletin option?

That is what the middle picture is of.

I go to admincp > usergroups > forum permissions > "specific forum I want", scroll to administrator and click edit and that is the setting.

If I go to admincp > forums & moderators > forums permission > "specific forum I want", scroll to "administrator" and click edit, it is the same options set.

Unless there is another setting I am missing, it looks like everything is setup right.

Got it resolved. It was not working for me but when I logged into my other admin account it worked. I am confused on why it does not work for me though. Both accounts have admin as the primary usergroup.

Now I just gotta get it intergrated with vbcredits

I want traduce some phrase in my language, but some phrase isn't existent... For esample "vBookie Event" phrase not exsist... how is possible? where I can changed it? Thanks

When someone bets anonymously it will display this in the phrases... is this something that needs to be edited in the template because the phrase looks like it is setup right.

EDIT: Create a new phrase in the Show Thread Phrase Type. Name it whatever you want, and in the text box use <img src="url">

I've installed this on 3.6.8 and it seems to be working ok, except this:

A user placed a bet, and in the vbookie page it show the total amount stacked, but it doesn't show anything in the row that says "bet placed by...." etc.

any ideas?

Edit: Ok this is weird: one of my members placed a bet for 200 points and he didn't show up in that row. Now another member placed a bet for 150 points and he shows up in that row just fine.

Edit 2 : nevermind, the first member just checked the private bet option. All is ok :)

In installed it and it shows up when i make a new thread and i check the box and submit and it just post the thread and does not take me to where i need to add the event. and idea i am new at this ??
