thanks , but it doesnt show up after i uploaded files , did everythin in the readme file for 3.6.8

You're right, the template edits are already done, but apparently they're not necessary, as this hack does work (see attachment) in 6.9.


I'm still trying to figure out how to show the "user was thanked X times" in the post profile, it shows up the in user profile just fine.

Hi,

I installed v6.4 about 6 months ago and at the time, I managed to change the text that says "The Following User Says Thank You to **** For This Useful Post:" to "Thanked By", but when I updated to v7.4 today, I am back to the original text.

I have had a look through this thread and the answer seems to be "edit the template", so would someone be kind enough to tell me which template I need to edit please?

There is a style error in this mod.
When the Post Thank You Hack plugin is enabled at postbit_display_complete, Firefox reports the error:

I'm pretty certain the problem is in the post_thanks_button template.

This is the exact problem I am having too. There is obviously an issue with 3.6.9. Why isn't the author supporting this? It says supported.

hi,

installed on vb 3.6.9 custom template working fine BUT... Two thanks button same function.

when thanked post displaye two thanks same user :p

does it need anythig with postbit and postpic_legacy template

i don't have it install but did you try looking for the PHRASE itself? that way whatever upgrade you do won't undone it just go to language and phrases and search for something like : the following user and see if you can find it?

go in vbulletin admincp
Then go to Languages & Phrases
Then Click on search in phrases :
select : Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name

and search for this : post_thanks_user_says --> change it for whatever you want
post_thanks_users_say --> and change it to whatever you want

that should fix your problem

There is no problem with this hack and vb3.6.10! This hack does not use any forms.

I believe the issue is because you have customized templates and the mod was not able to rewrite them. I had the same issue with my username request mod. But after reverting those customized templates and reinstalling the mod, it worked just fine.

I just upgrade this from 6.3 to 7.4 for my vbulletin 3.6.10, however I cannot find the option that sets the "Max Thanks a User can Give Per Day". Please help me out.

Abe I havnt played around in my Admin cp for a while and forgot a lot of the settings in there, I want to enable thse stats for all members but cant figure out how it was done, I seem to be the only member that has these stats displaying.

I will include a screenshot so you can see what I am talking about, if you know how I can enable this for all members please let me know thanks.

I sure did. That's why I wasn't able to figure out what the issue was with it. I do however have a suspicion that there's a duplicate table or entry for thanks received on my forum. Otherwise, it wouldn't have not increases when someone gives thanks. I'll have to compares the tables sometime when I have the time.
