Sir,

A fresh install on a clean test board gets me the following error :

Code:

Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() [function.mysql-real-escape-string]: Access denied for user '*****@*****' (using password: NO) in [path]/media.php on line 189

Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() [function.mysql-real-escape-string]: A link to the server could not be established in [path]/media.php on line 189

Why don't you just type a description into the text box? When you click Submit Media on the submit form, it does not do ANY retrieval from feeds; so it is technically IMPOSSIBLE for this problem to exist. The information is passed from the text box; not from the feed. So I have no idea what this issue is, you are having. Sounds to me like User Error. You can add a video with no description simply by adding a description to the text box:

I don't understand how people can say "there is an error, please fix"... without telling me what the error is.

Metacafe works fine for me. Maybe its a browser problem? What browser are you using?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking... but videos can be sorted by which user uploaded them, and there is a rating system.

Wow what the heck?? how can you overide the youtube discription and still save it?? is their an setting im missing here?? cause whenever i write int he discription.. it just disregards what i write in the description.. and overides with what is in the youtube discription

Actually, yes. It would be a perfect fit for me if my users can upload of their personal videos. is that an ability of this mod?

Nice options but one thing that I don't see listed is the option to subscribe to an uploader. I hope you have plans for that.

Also an rss feed per uploader would be nice as well.

Great mod, just installed it.

Question: Weren't there recommended BB codes for various media websites? Thought I saw them when I first looked at this mod a couple days ago (but could be wrong). Which sites does this mod support again? I know Youtube, Vimeo, DailyMotion etc...

Is Hulu on that list? Or a way to get Hulu to work in the Media Library? Thanks in advance...

Perfect. This should be included in next release.

Also, please add an option to display recent media on forum home page, currently the people don't know whats new in media or even don't know that there is a media library if they just visit forums.

Jaxel and harley thanks for everything..

Seriously....

Jaxel 05-05-2010 04:55 AM

Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() errors will be fixed in next version. mysql_real commands are reserved for MySQL, not MySQLi. So in the next version, i have changed the procedure to use the addslashes command instead.
