That's very easy :)

Just create a new usergroup for x amount of posts with a promotion to it when they reach the amount of posts. Then you just give that usergroup permissions for the downloads ;)

I've got two requests:

1: A possability to have the download function check the referrer, if it's not my own site then deny the download or redirect to some annoying image. In my case I meet more then once that some sites happily offer the files hosted at my site. I could block that by allowing only members to download. But for now I do not wish to do that.
2: At the upload page show the maximum upload size as set in the PHP.ini.

One of my users is getting an error of "maximum load reached"

I've searched the thread and didn't find it. Anyone know what that is about?

Did you check your usergroup settings? De last 2 settings are max. amount of files and max amount of kb or mb to download per day.
Maybe that setting is the troublemaker.:)

AyeCapn 10-06-2006 01:43 PM

That was it. I ahve several differnt user-joinable group to access different areas of teh forum. A couple of them had those two values set to 0 for some reason.

All is right again in the universe :)

FYI - have an absolute path to my downloads directory working fine. No "." in the path for me :)

Hi, have installed this plugin very nice but cant seem to upload anything, it keeps saying download directory dosent exist. I have checked and rechecked the path and its correct, tryed to put it out in the root and still gives that error, is there a problem with it finding the download folder??, have chmoded the folder to 777 tryed different url paths such as http:// and direct path such as /downloads/ but to no avail, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Dragonhart....

The path should be relative to your forums folder. So, if you have forums/downloads the path would be "./downloads/" (without the quotes). If the path is at the same level as your forums directory (for example, www/forums and www/downloads), the path would be "../downloads/" (again without the quotes).

Excellent idea. I'll try to remember that for the next version.
