Do you still not need to put the text inside the hide bb code but doing what you say here only works if you put it inside the bb code first and only if you have added it to your Custom BB Codes. Or am I wrong and you have another way it auto goes in?

The Pro version has [HIDE] code support, but it does not require custom BB Code to work.

Then you may have another mod conflicting, as by default it works as a virtual BB Code.

Is there anyway to display the "Thanks" button for only the first post ?

"Like" button is displayed on all posts (which I want), but I want the "Thanks" button to be displayed on the first post (for thread owner only).

That is a Pro-only feature :)

Just installed this and I must sound really ignorant, but after trying myself (and having tested a few) and going over the settings I can't seem to find the right BB-code to use to hide things.

Using the Lite version with Hippy's 7.84+ edition of the "Post Thank You"-hack on vB 4.2.2[/s]

We have an auto collapse feature that lets you set up your own weighting system, this is however a Pro-only feature :)

Can someone tell me if the multiple icons in the postbit can be easily moved out of the default location? Where they are in the one screenshot I managed to see they don't seem to "Stick out" at all- I'm looking for something at more or less can be made to look like the popular XenForo add-on that looks like this:

Unfortunately I haven't been able to log into the DragonByte site all day, it was missing CSS whenever I visit so I assume it is under some maintenance.

Joe the DBT site loads just fine for me.

As usual soon after I posted I managed to get logged in and the site looks fine now. But I was there about 7 hours ago and an hour ago and both times there was no css. I used Chrome and Opera Next on a brand new computer that had never visited the site before. Oh well.

How do I enable them?

I'm getting an error when I like/dislike a post. It comes up with like two bars so it doubles it and says my name twice, but when I refresh it goes back to one.

Sounds like the files may not have been uploaded correctly, could you try re-uploading the contents of the "upload" folder exactly?

This is a Pro-only feature.

For the future, could you please not use the "title" field as part of your question? It's extremely confusing. Thank you :)

this plugin stopped working with me after i upgraded to 4.2.2 it shows database errors

Did you download the files again and re upload them?

ok now i reinstalled the plugin all over again, it shows that its activated with no errors, but it's not there in the posts, and there is no menu to control it in the admincp.

its only showing that is on, in the plugins area.

Are you a super admin or just admin?

I have a big problem of compatibility between Advanced Thanks / Like mod

and hide, whether with:

Marco1 Hide BBCODE
or vFCoders - Hide Hack v4 or another ...

I turn on the A T / L to hide no longer work, further buttons A T / L do not work either.

Would you an idea or would you have a "simple" hide, just reply that works with A T / L?

You need to configure it via the "Manage Buttons" screen found under "DBTech - Post Thanks" in the AdminCP.

If you do not see this menu, you need to add yourself to Super Administrators in config.php

This is because this mod implements its own "HIDE" BBCode. There's no way to make it work with other such "HIDE" mods at this time, unfortunately.

Can not rename it "Hide" to A T / L (in the source code) so that the two programs do not come into conflict?

I run a big forum (5m+ posts) and was having horrendous locking issues with the vb_post table recently. I eventually figured out that the problem was in the joins it was doing with vb_dbtech_thanks_entry (possibly on threads with thousands of posts).

I haven't updated this plugin in maybe a year - has there been any database efficiency changes in the mean time to warrant me doing an upgrade now? (I don't want to lose previous likes if there is no changes, and I've made quite a few changes to customize the look and feel).

I have installed the light version 3.1.7. and used the importer script. No issues....
We have a thread at which the first post has got :The Following 7,418 Users Say Thank You to ..... For This Useful Post:

When loading the thread it shows up a blank page. I needed to disable your mod because it's a very hot thread people want to have access.

The old post thank you hack from master abe displays it still well though.
ATM I have disabled both plugins.....

Any fix?

File edits aren't really supported, but if you search for "hide" in all files you may be able to do it that way :)

Yeah, there have been multiple database efficiency changes - I'd strongly recommend you upgrade :)

Can you please verify that display_errors is set to On in your php.ini?

Still blank.

Can you please verify in the "View PHP Info" page in the AdminCP that the display_errors is set to On?

If not, please contact your host to change your PHP configuration if you don't have access to it otherwise.

It changed the local values to "On", but the master values were still set to off.

Can you please check your server's error log for any errors that may be hidden some other way?

Without an error message I don't have any real way of figuring out what's wrong :(

We got it fixed.
You need to add:

ini_set('memory_limit', '512M');

To PHP config.

Your plugin needs tweaking it eats a lot of memory, lol. :D
