I am also getting this error message after finishing quiz and submitting answers. Any ideas?

Fatal error: Unable to proceed with save while $errors array is not empty in class vb_datamanager_pm in /includes/class_dm.php on line 758

Rabbitoh Warren 10-16-2005 01:25 PM

What do I need to edit to change the path to the quiz images dir?

VaaKo 10-17-2005 09:04 PM

is it still on BETA 1?

amykhar 10-18-2005 12:26 AM

The hack is not beta 1. It was released when vbulletin 3.5 was beta 1. It still works.

Sooner95 10-18-2005 01:06 AM

installed, so far so good. Thx!

Chris Croft 10-18-2005 01:08 PM

Ok, I also have the Advanced Warning deal installed, and I'm getting this error when trying to go to the quiz:

Code:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare sendpm() (previously declared in /home/chrisbay/public_html/Forum/quiz.php:139) in /home/chrisbay/public_html/Forum/includes/functions_warning.php on line 23
So I went into quiz.php and deleted the PM thingy because I didn't feel that I really needed that portion of it, but then it also made me delete the RunError... So now it doesn't work. So put it all back together, and I'm back to square one. lol Any ideas?

And I noticed a previous post with the same problem, but the only solution to it was to disable AWS, which is a crutial program on my website...

So is there an alternative solution?

amykhar 10-18-2005 01:59 PM

Yes. Change the name of the conflicting functions in one of the mods AND change the calls to them to use the new names.

I was getting this error as well with a large (35 question) quiz I created and what fixed it for me was the changing the default setting under (VBulletin Options) for the maximum number of characters allowed in PMs.

Try changing it to no limit (0) and see if it works for you.

Mike :)

Omranic 10-23-2005 06:56 PM

thanks man very very much
its very good

but there is a sentence missing in one templete

It is the templete (quiz_cat_row_none) look No Caegories Are Currently Available

missing the letter (t) :)

TheComputerGuy 10-25-2005 08:16 PM

Does this thing allow you to have a quiz...and fill it out and you show the results...like

If you answer a certain number of A's you are result A..or so on?

Parture 10-27-2005 03:17 AM

<a href="http://biblocality.com/forums/quiz.php?" target="_blank">http://biblocality.com/forums/quiz.php?</a>

Why doesn't the picture show up for the WWII pic?

Parture 10-27-2005 10:00 PM

I figured out the problem. When a quiz picture is loaded it gets loaded to your forum directory images quiz folder, but when you take the quiz it loads the quiz picture from the images folder that is above your main directory above the forums. How do we fix that?

moonclamp 10-27-2005 10:40 PM

Is there a way for members to submit quizzes that do not have to be moderated and have default usergroup permission to access them?

Hoffi 10-28-2005 01:25 PM

I am missing the function to start a quiz at a special Date.

The Background is, that I plan to create an advent Calendar for my Users, where they can win Prizes every Day. And the Questions should not be visible before the day starts.

I finally started making my own quizzes and am went into 'Moderate Quiz Results' and am getting this for some members:

Some answers were put in. but some were blank. There are registered members that didn't get this error when I looked up the results, but some did - any reason?

Lea Verou 10-30-2005 02:37 PM

Installed, thanks! :)

Some feature suggestions that I really need:
-phrases!! It's a pain in the @ss to translate it! I still can't find how to translate the pms sent.
-image max and min resolution so that the listing looks nice :)

dookie 10-30-2005 04:44 PM

Terrible without phrases! :(
There are a few more languages in the whole wide world...

Great Hack ... for english speaking users ...

You can translate most of it from the templates, its not very difficult, just takes time :)

amykhar 10-30-2005 06:41 PM

So, phrase it for him and attach it if you think it needs to be phrased. That can be your contribution to the place, dookie.

Amy

Do you find it necessary to be so impolite? I wasn't moaning about it, I just suggested. :(

amykhar 10-30-2005 06:53 PM

I wasn't replying to you ;) I was replying to the person who asked for the phrases. And, I don't think suggesting that the person do it and share the work if it's something worth having is impolite. This is supposed to be a community effort after all ;)

Snake 10-30-2005 07:09 PM

Hey ZT, where are you man? I'm hoping to see some major updates to this hack. Can't wait. ;)

I just thought that the way you told it was a bit rude, mainly because I haven't noticed that his nick was actually dookie so I thought you were calling him names lol :p

btw will your modifications for the quiz work in this version? :)

amykhar 10-30-2005 08:12 PM

With some changes, yes they will work.

Lea Verou 11-01-2005 01:12 PM

Amy can you please give me some guidelines (raw code is also acceptable! :p :p) of how to make this store the userid and display the username (display username from userid w/o additional query if possible :nervous: )
Thanks in advance! :)

amykhar 11-01-2005 02:30 PM

I simply added two columns to the quiz table. One for userid, the other for username. At the time of quiz creation, I insert the author's userid and username in the table. No added queries.

At display time, I pull both userid and username and set up the link. Again, no added query because it's in the quiz table and is pulled when the quiz title, etc. are pulled.

Amy

Lea Verou 11-01-2005 02:35 PM

Yep, but what happens if the username is changed? This way it would need manual updating, if I understood you well...

it is not changed

:disappointed:
PHP Code:

Fatal errorUnable to proceed with save while $errors array is not empty in class vb_datamanager_pm in /includes/class_dm.php on line 758

the problem persists alone with it puts into effect records them to you and not with the new ones

I don't allow username changes on my site, and because I'm not releasing my quiz mods, I can write to suit my own needs ;). You could always just add only the userid, but that would mean adding a left join on the query to pull the quizzes so that you could get the username too.

I'll probably do it that way...
Can I please have a look at your code? I'm now learning php so it will be quite difficult for me to figure it out without any help... :nervous:

amykhar 11-01-2005 05:25 PM

My code wouldn't help you. Sorry. I have way too much other stuff going on.

How do I properly uninstall the quiz?

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.1:

Invalid SQL:
drop table vb_quiz;

MySQL Error : Unknown table 'vb_quiz'
Error Number : 1051
Date : Saturday, November 5th 2005 @ 04:47:17 AM

Snake 11-05-2005 04:08 PM

Looks like the hack ain't working on 3.5.1. I don't know but you gotta wait until ZT is done with Inferno.

C.Birch 11-05-2005 05:20 PM

It works for me in 3.5.1

in reply to post number 196

the error is due to you missing the vb_quiz table from the database.

It works just fine for me in 3.5.1 as well - even with all my tweaks.

Parture 11-06-2005 03:13 AM

We are unable to uninstall the quiz. I have 3.5.1. We should be able to unistall this, but now it is stuck on our systems. Is this going to get resolved anytime soon?
