A ha I found it, thanks Paul!
Now I tried it but it says i dont have permission, and Im the administrator! Sorry, you don't have permission to access the administrative controls on this page. If you need to access this page, ask your lead administrator to enable your permissions for this page using the Administrator Permissions section of the control panel. Doug Update... I did not know about having to enter the user id to be allowed to use this feature, now i know. |

Paul,
Your too quick for me, please see my previous reply with the edited information. I figure out the dont have permissions things as well. I wasnt aware that I had to enter in the user id numbers for the users i want to allow to use this feature. Doug |
Amy,
Is there anyway to code this feature to allow me to login as a specific user where it will NOT show the user logged in? Id like to be able to login as a user without it effecting their cookies, last visit, read messages, and etc. I dont want it to leave any evidence that I was ever in their account if this is possible to do. Thanks Doug |
Id like to make a suggestion for this feature.
How about instead of this feature restricting access by user id, how about have this feature HIDDEN from certain user id's or by user groups? Either or both? I think that that would be better. Out of sight out of mind if you know what I mean? Anyone who doesnt have the privelage of using this feature shouldnt even be able to see it or know about it in the first place. Doug |
Having this problem after install, everything seemed ok until I went to log in as a user and get this error :
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/forum/admincp/user.php on line 56 which appears to be this line (but maybe it isn't this line) : $user = $DB_site->query_first("SELECT userid, password, usergroupid FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "user WHERE userid='".$_REQUEST['userid']."'"); Logged in as admin when running and the lic# is correct. |
I am getting the same error message.

ok I got it to work but now it doesn't automatically sign in with the users password. it goes to the sign in screen
|
notice: license number - not a customer number or customer password. we can find license number on top of vb file (eg. user.php)

Im broke...
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in ...\admincp\user.php on line 48 :S |
