Ok, just a suggestion.
Links can be open in two modes:

1) A "_blank" window
2) In the same window (or a very nice looking, ascetic popup window) with a top frame, where are links to:

-Back to "category"
-Viewing a "forum" Link
-Rate This Link
-Add one more to the same "category"

Keptic, actually, I've got some of the code you need (the smart in / out system). I could send you the code over, you can contact me PM, if you're thinkg I could be of some help to you in this case.

What I would really appreciate is stats on how many (+2 or +14 or 0 etc., etc.) links have been added in certain subcategorys. If you could figure, how to connect it even with PhotoPost, I'm ready to send you even more good code, that could be of some use to you.

not sure if you have this or not,

but can you add a toggle switch in the admin section, to allow only the admin to post links, or members, even better setup so that only selected user groups can add links or not?

I think this is also done. Hey guys, I will be emailing everybody who has installed vB Links Directory 2.0 with a private link to install vb Links 3.0 first before I release it.

So if you have not installed the previous version, you guys will most likely get it a week later than the others.

I have some install time this weekend... is it too late to get the pre release link if I install 2.0 now?

In the next version, is there a feature to put the links in an order of your choosing (instead of alpha order), similiar to the smilie hack?

vB Links Directory 2.0 Build 2.5.0 will be released soon.
vB Links Directory 3.0 is still in consideration between 2 things.

I am trying to take out some coding that is in the header & headinclude portion of these templates, but I am driving myself crazy!

Could someone take a look at my page, and advise me what I have to do to delete this portion:

(Since it ties in with the rest of the board's pages, I just can't change the header & headinclude)

I have tried to make a header2 and headinclude2 templates with the verbiage deleted, but whatever I am doing is not right.

I've got vB Links Directory 2.0 on my site, but was going to re install it should I wait for 2.50 or 3 and upgrade or just wait for a full clean install? I'm currently building new templates on my site now for each section.

Keptic, I am on the same situation as PixelFX, so please tell us... :) How soon is soon for 2.5 or 3.0 ? No need to rush you though, I just think that this hack is almost necessary for my site...

Ok we have released some updates for v2...v3 will upgrade from that. I suggest you guys use v2 with the upgrade. We have continued development on v3 today, and will finish very soon. DW will be taking charge of the installation and upgrade.

I don't know if this has come up before, but I would like to see a screen where reciprocal link info could be given out.

If someone is putting their link on my site, there is now no way for them to get my information without searching for it in my forum section.

I found a hack that might work, but I would really like to have this intregrated with this one.

Is this feasible?

I will try to make this a feature of 3.0 as well as selecting the order of categories too. I'm trying to work as fast as possible to get a beta out so thats the reason...

There will be an upgrade script from 2.0 and 2.5 to 3.0...
