Installed!

Any plans on adding a flood-check limit per usergroup? That would definitely make this the best PM mod ever.

That means that file is not there "missing"

I can check that if you like...

Update: I just installed this mod on my server, but didn't have any issue at all. I also searched for the missing .css file mentioned here, but such a file wasn't created!!! is that another mod??

yah, well surprisingly today while I was working on my vb the same issue you have came up... it is a weird error...

when I disable and then enable the mod, this issue is gone, but then again shows up...

I think it is better to disable this mod!!

as for me, already uninstalled!!

maybe I will use Ozzy's mod instead PMspy...

I believe it is an error in the mod itself, I found this line in the xml file for the mod!!

PHP Code:

this css file is being created dbtech_vbsuper_pm_notif.css instead so I'm not sure what's really going on in here!!

possibly Fillip can explain this!!

That coding would not cause this problem we need to see the server error log to see what the real problem is

ok, I had to re-install it quickly to dig the issue and bring it from the server log file,

here it is:

HTML Code:

2014/07/08 05:31:57 [error] 2854#0: *7714 open() "/www/public/clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00004l/dbtech_vbsuper_pm_postbit.css" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: www.xxxxxx.com, request: "GET /clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00004l/dbtech_vbsuper_pm_postbit.css
not sure what's going on here, but it seems that the mod is looking for that css file, but no such file exist in that folder...

do you have this style folder style000041 if yes do you have the file dbtech_vbsuper_pm_postbit.css inside it. As that file pulls two images from that style dbtech/vbsuper_pm/images/vbsuperpmpostbit.png
dbtech/vbsuper_pm/images/vbsuperpmpostbit_hover.png
that are these two

Alibass 07-07-2014 08:52 PM

Interesting I don't have that file name in my style folder.

I have dbtech_vbsuper_pm_notif.css

Also I'm curious if fxdigi-cash is using custom styles?

This style000041 number only means its the 41st style that was installed

yes, you are right, mate. I'm using a custom style. though it showed up as well in the default style...

actually it is 4l not 41 because 4l means style # 4 and Left direction style. There is another one created when using store as css file, called style00004r. So that is style # 4 and the direction is Right...

no there is no such css file dbtech_vbsuper_pm_postbit.css, I check that many times. possibly it is a typo by the coder!!

The funny part is that both images do exist in the folder dbtech/

not sure if the coder meant something else...

ForceHSS 07-08-2014 04:04 AM

In the error you posted above it is showing 41 not 4l. I have them files in all my style files even the default one

fxdigi-cash 07-08-2014 05:26 AM

not really!!!

here it is again:

HTML Code:

2014/07/08 05:31:57 [error] 2854#0: *7714 open() "/www/public/clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00004l/dbtech_vbsuper_pm_postbit.css" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: www.xxxxxx.com, request: "GET /clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00004l/dbtech_vbsuper_pm_postbit.css
style00004l is not 41, it is 4l

try to type both "l" letter and 1 number in the bbcode and you will see the difference. This is a little tricky and I fell in the same mistake at first, but found out they are not the same....
:D

ForceHSS 07-08-2014 01:37 PM

Yes, I see, yes its a l not a one it comes through as a 1 in the html code when it's posted like that. Ok so you don't have a folder with that name

tbworld 07-08-2014 01:39 PM

'L' for Left to Right, to shed a little light on the subject. :)

ForceHSS 07-08-2014 01:41 PM

left to right? of what

it is a css property, mate :)

I did understand I was only messing with tbworld :p

Mikhael_ 08-23-2014 08:51 AM

I have this mod for a long time now, but I found a bug rather boring.

The block of PMs works only if the user use the browser. If anybody use tapatalk can send any type of PM.

How can solve it?
Thanks

ozzy47 08-23-2014 08:53 AM

That is not a bug in the mod, that is a issue with Tapatalk not loading the required hooks for quite a few mods to run. :(

Sorry for the OT question.. but it still present event in VB5?

I know that for the moment there are few mods, but I would like to upgrade to it :)

ozzy47 08-23-2014 01:14 PM

This mod is not available for vB5, there is only a handful of mods available for it.

broncoshq 09-10-2014 11:54 AM

I'm mobile so unable to install.

Does this mod do threaded PMs? If so, can it be the default for all members.

If so, take my money.

broncoshq 09-11-2014 11:54 PM

Anyone?

DragonByte Tech 09-18-2014 12:01 PM

I don't believe threaded PMs is a feature at this time, sorry :(

Daniel 10-07-2014 12:41 PM

Hey, thanks for sharing this mod. Really appreciate it.

Does it have the option to send a PM after user posts a new thread?

e.g. *posts new thread*
PM sent & reads: "Thanks for posting that thread!"

DragonByte Tech 10-07-2014 11:01 PM

I don't believe so, sorry :(

Bug in vBulletin 4.2 CMS:

When modifying a Static HTML widget, it will become corrupt and no longer work. The widget must be deleted and re-created.

Temporary solution is to disable VBSuper.PM before modifying the widget.

DragonByte Tech 11-01-2014 06:16 PM

This is not an issue I've been able to replicate. Can you please try disabling all other modifications, and if it still exhibits this behaviour, provide step-by-step instructions on how to replicate this issue?

You didn't upload all required files to the server or the file is chmodded incorrectly.

ozzy47 11-27-2014 03:40 PM

Yes Dave is probably correct.

It appears as if you have uploaded the files incorrectly.
Please drag and drop the contents of the upload folder (use Ctrl+A to select all files) to your public_html folder. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/19.png

Cyclist 11-27-2014 03:42 PM

thanks! I will try again!

ozzy47 11-27-2014 03:45 PM

Sure thing, let us know how it goes. :)

Cyclist 11-27-2014 03:55 PM

It contains 2 folders
1. Upload
2. XML

I upload as you said the first into the public.html
Should i do something with the second? I just upload it with in the ACP.

Still gives me the same message

ozzy47 11-27-2014 03:58 PM

So in your FTP, navigate to includes/xml folder, and see if you have a file called, bitfield_dbtech_vbsuper_pm.xml

Cyclist 11-27-2014 04:01 PM

No it's not there!
What should i do?
Thanks!
