Edit: Disregard the new issue - apparently vB5 doesn't give a clean "Database connection error" window anymore and just throws error code 500 when it can't connect to the database. God I hate vB5.

500 is a server error of some sort. If that's being displayed within vBulletin, then you should put your site into debug mode to get the actual error.

If you are also using the shoutbox, then the statistic tool counts the shouts in it...

So it says right now:
You have 2,92 posts per day (34 posts today).

But I had only one post in forum today... the rest in shoutbox

Mine too, revert all changes in Infopanels' admincp. If anything other than the default settings such as topic title character length ect are altered then it won't display.

Dragonbyte, how about fixing your product?

mdawg 06-05-2017 03:28 PM

I still see the infopanels TOP STATS down at the bottom, seemed updated and working on my 5.3.1 ?

WELCOME PANEL at top seems to be working too except that it still has that bug in it that tells me I have 5 unread PMs which is incorrect.

Also, as far as the bug mentioned by Manuela in post #162, about the shoutbox messages adding onto the total of posts made in the WELCOME PANEL, I have not noticed this, but I have noticed that the system seems to update saying that I had a post today when it was not I who made the new post, but some other member.

mdawg 09-04-2017 02:05 PM

I installed this onto a brand new forum which currently has only two users so it is easier to track the posts.

On this new forum, the one user has made 49 posts. He is the top poster.

However in your Welcome Panel, near top, it says: "_______ is our top poster with 0 posts and 9 threads."

So I don't know what this mod is counting, but it is not working.

Hi !!

..its running on a vbulletin v 5.3.2 and its ok

I'm wondering
..how can I hide welcome and stats panel to guest ( not registered user ) ?
If I'm logged out I can still see both panel

mdawg 09-15-2017 03:40 PM

If you load a DbTech product, such as this one, onto a forum with thousands of members and tens of thousands of posts, which yes I have done that, then it is easy to say "It's ok."

But load it onto a brand new forum and keep track of the post and thread count and you will see that this mod is inaccurate, and doesn't really work properly.

but I meant that the mod seems to works ok on a vbulletin 5.3.2 and what i had to know is how can I HIDE modules to anyone goes to the forum as NOT logged in
I dont like anyone is able to read latest post or latest member or my welcom panel as a guest

It should be hidden to them ?

torcidas 10-11-2017 04:18 AM

I have problem with InfoPanels but after I uninstall it from forum and install it again (remove all css modification by myself) it start to work normaly and now I didn't try to make css modification like I have before to show all stats I need in top stats module since I don't have time for that ATM...

I would need to change welcome panel background color
researched on all css in that style but no luck

it is
.canvas-layout-container .canvas-widget {
background: #f8f8f8 none repeat scroll 0 0; (to change in #000000 )
border: 1px solid #ccd1d5;
border-radius: 3px;
box-sizing: border-box;
float: left;
height: auto;
margin: 0 0 16px;
min-height: 24px;
padding: 15px;
position: relative;
width: 100%;

this appear using firebug on firefox ...but cant find the file to edit !!
any suggest ?
Thank You !!!

superdorx 11-30-2017 06:11 PM

The read me file says:

1. Upload all files from the "upload" folder to your forums directory.

But where exactly do I upload files? What is the directory path from root?

Thanks!

mdawg 12-02-2017 02:45 PM

Open the Upload folder
You will then see all the files to upload.
Open your forums directory folder
Select all of the files in that Upload folder.
Upload all those files into that forums directory folder.
(If you are doing it correctly, you will be asked to Overwrite multiple folders.)

Thank you !

How to fix this ?!

meissenation 03-22-2018 05:59 PM

Bug found - If a new thread is posted and includes a picture it won't show up in the "Newest Replies" panel. Delete the thread, re-post the same thread but don't attach any pictures and it shows up in Newest Replies.

"Visitor Messages" also randomly show up in the "Newest Replies" panel yet no one can figure out what they are or how to get rid of them - they just eventually fall off from more new replies.

This is one of the most sought after mods on my forum, yet like mdawg said it's not quite accurate and needs more work.

WxP 05-20-2018 09:57 AM

Not working on 5.4.1

mdawg 05-21-2018 01:21 PM

It does work on 5.4.1 (both Welcome Panel and Top Stats), just, as noted above post #168, etc., it's not entirely accurate, never did work perfectly.

voyger 05-30-2018 09:14 AM

on VB 5.4.1 work perfect in my forum
thankyou team

error Infopanels

Something is trying to access the Javascript before it finishes loading. Or something is causing an error in the Javascript to prevent other functionality from working. Does the problem happen with that addon disabled?

It appears that the initial error is being thrown with this code -

window.vBulletin=window.vBulletin||{};window.vBull etin.phrase=window.vBulletin.phrase||{};window.vBu lletin.phrase.precache=window.vBulletin.phrase.pre cache||[];window.vBulletin.phrase.precache=$.merge(window.v Bulletin.phrase.precache,['dbtech_infopanels_fetching_data_in_x','dbtech_inf opanels_fetching_data','dbtech_infopanels_click_re load_to_fetch']);
That belongs to an addon. The addon may need to be updated to work with newer versions of vBulletin 5.

Code:

window.vBulletin=window.vBulletin||{};window.vBulletin.phrase=window.vBulletin.phrase||{};window.vBulletin.phrase.precache=window.vBulletin.phrase.precache||[];window.vBulletin.phrase.precache=$.merge(window.vBulletin.phrase.precache,['dbtech_infopanels_fetching_data_in_x','dbtech_infopanels_fetching_data','dbtech_infopanels_click_reload_to_fetch']);

5.4.2 crashed my site

Tamara-Jasmin 08-02-2018 05:52 PM

Gibt es denn schon eine Deutsche Übersetzung?

Ich kann leider kein englisch ...

LG: Tammy

Tamara-Jasmin 08-09-2018 05:43 PM

Im ?brigen wird mir das Datum hinter den neuesten Usern nicht angezeigt.

Der Fehler liegt in der Datei newestmember.php:

Quote:

// Format join date
$info['joindate'] = vbdate((array_key_exists('joindateformat', $block['code']) AND $block['code']

['joindateformat']) ? $block['code']['joindateformat'] : vB::getDatastore()->getOption('dateformat'), $info['joindate']);

Tammy

Another error that is happening again lately with this mod is

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2018/09/4.jpg

which just pops up occasionally when navigating your vb5 forum.

All DragonByte apps are slowly becoming less compatible with higher versions of vb5.

I disabled the TopX stats portion of this InfoPanels mod - still getting the same error. May have to disable or uninstall the entire Mod.

mdawg 10-10-2018 02:02 AM

What's bizarre is that if you disable the InfoPanels mod entirely, then the "SyntaxError: Unexpected token in v in JSON at position 1" error disappears, but then (and only as as long InfoPanels remains disabled), the vbShout add on then starts having a "200 parser error" upon first loading, which disappears after a few seconds.

Blackhorse 04-03-2019 10:54 PM

Hello Guys,

is this mod still working for those upgraded to vb5.5?

Thanx

pcmwebmaster 10-18-2019 10:34 PM

Hi,
I translated some phrases like "Newest Replies " from language and phrases section but not translated and show the English only.

mdawg 12-22-2019 04:44 PM

I disabled it on my high traffic vb 5.5.5 forum a long time ago (many versions ago) due to errors that kept happening, but I have retained it on two low traffic vb 5.5.5 forums without issue.
