+1 !!

I.G.O.T.A. 01-26-2012 12:42 PM

Going to have to shut it off cause it's not working right on 4.1.10. Awesome idea. Hope you get it figured out. It works fine on 4.1.5, 4.1.9, but not 4.1.10. Thanks JJ.

Same with me, hope it can be fixed

I.G.O.T.A. 02-01-2012 07:10 PM

Any word on a update for 4.1.10?

avaare 02-03-2012 10:52 AM

on 4.1.10 not working "Last Poster Avatars on Threadbits"

thenashy 02-03-2012 05:00 PM

4.1.10 Kind of working, kind of not.

Some are showing my avatar, even when I'm not the last poster. Some are right. The avatars are also showing in front of the last post title instead of the name. So it looks a bit messy.

mcyates 02-05-2012 11:44 AM

It shows the avatar in 4.1.10 but its not displayed properly.

skokarl 02-15-2012 11:04 AM

Can somebody fix this for 4.1.0 ?

Is it supported ?

Winter Sonata 02-15-2012 02:18 PM

Yes, it works!

for example:

the original link for an avatar is:
Code:

http://www.domain.com/forum/avatar/customavatars/avatar8707_8.gif
but in this mod the link become wrong like this:
Code:

http://www.domain.com/forum/avatar/customavatars/avatar8707_.gif
Just the last (8) is missing

Hi all,

I have fixed the avatar display issue brought to you with the 1.1.0 release. As a matter of fact, I haven't tested on forums that were set to save avatars as files, and I've fixed the problem now. Do let me know if anything else comes up, I'll be more than happy to troubleshoot and get back to you with further fixes until this becomes a stable mod.

Thanks, Daryn, I have removed the outdated lines from the mod description, you're right :)

Now the avatar appears if the link is like this:
Code:

http://www.domain.com/forum/avatar/customavatars/avatar8707_8.gif

But if there is two digits after (_), for example:

Code:

http://www.domain.com/forum/avatar/customavatars/avatar8701_59.gif
The link will be like this:
Code:

http://www.domain.com/forum/avatar/customavatars/avatar8701_5.gif
There is no avatar because the last (9) is missing and will not include in the link!

Thanks dear

Any fix for this bug?

BlueCheri 02-15-2012 04:17 PM

I think it's not working properly.

G!

MediaSVI 02-18-2012 08:10 PM

Does not work in 4.1.10

cdnbacon 02-24-2012 05:37 PM

I would also appreciate an update for 4.1.10, or a redirect to a working mod that does the same.

phpdesk 02-25-2012 07:27 PM

Hi guys, I got involved in a few large projects since the beginning of the year, I had to put development of this and my other vbulletin modifications on hold for now, please hold on or if any of you are willing to contribute to any of the fixes required in the meantime, feel free to drop me a message and I'll gladly add your codes to the package.

chimpmaster 03-17-2012 04:46 PM

Upgrading to V4.1.11 it is working fine except for the default guest avatar. It displays userid # 127 for the avatar instead. Not a big deal, but something to look at when updating this mod. Great mod though and one that our members love.

Conehead555 04-07-2012 06:36 PM

Perfect in 4.1.7 but no "default avatar" option like in your screen shot. :(

Installed on 4.2. I'd like to use the non legacy version with the avatar on the left and everything else on the right. When I select this option, the following happens. (see attached)

The legacy version works fine, as it should.

Any suggestions?

Jakobi 06-01-2012 03:35 PM

Works on 4.2.

Jakobi 06-01-2012 05:10 PM

This conflicts with DP thread avatars. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...271540&page=18

This overtakes that mod, any way to fix?

nikosb 06-06-2012 01:57 PM

works fine on 4.2
thank you

Jakobi 06-07-2012 11:15 PM

Anyone figure out how this can work with subforums?

Disco_Stu 06-08-2012 12:25 PM

Works perfectly on 4.2

Thanks. Looks great!

Marking installed.

I just installed both and don't see any conflicts. Not yet anyway, as have only used it for a few minutes of testing.

EDIT: ok, I noticed that when both are enabled that the default avatar overwrites the DP started thread user avatar.

RMonster 08-10-2012 10:25 AM

Nice!

Is it possible to add this to the search results also?

Thanks

Merenguista 08-19-2012 01:41 PM

Hi, is it possible to have round corners and border around it ?

thanks

oldz442 09-04-2012 11:40 PM

Some radius and border in additional.css should prob work. ie...

Code:

.lastpostby .avatar, .lastpostinfo .avatar, .threadlastpost .avatar {
  border-radius: 5px;
  -moz-border-radius: 5px;
  -webkit-border-radius: 5px;
  border: 1px #DDD solid;
  padding: 2px;
}

Amaury 09-04-2012 11:52 PM

Is this compatible with vBulletin 4.2.0?

oldz442 09-05-2012 12:00 AM

Yes.

bizpro99 09-05-2012 12:11 AM

will this work on 4.2?

oldz442 09-05-2012 12:26 AM

o deer

Amaury 09-05-2012 12:45 AM

So I've installed this, and it works, but there seems to be a small issue.

On the main index page, avatars don't update for a while.

For example, say Person 1 makes a post in the Spammy Fun thread in the Random Area forum and has an avatar of Tommy from Rugrats. Person 2, with an avatar of Angelica from Rugrats, comes along and makes a post in the same thread, but Person 1's avatar is still showing on the index.

Forums themselves seem fine, though.

oldz442 09-05-2012 12:54 AM

Cache most likely.

I had similar probs (not necessarily this mod but in general) with some avatars not updating on the index and threads (I added a mini avatar to quoted replies - modded class_bbcode.php to show proper avatar). I had to to setup a small plugin for hook location 'profile_updateavatar_complete' with the below to fix the issue. I also run geeky default avatar in addition to this mod.

$vbulletin->db->query_write("TRUNCATE TABLE postparsed");
$vbulletin->db->query_write("TRUNCATE TABLE cache");

Amaury 09-05-2012 01:11 AM

Also, I think it would be nice if it were added pretty much everywhere there's last post by stuff, such as the User CP, Subscriptions, and search results pages. :)

oldz442 09-05-2012 01:20 AM

I concur.
