Hi ,
there is a bug in the vBNavTabs that I would like to fix
the drop down Items appear short sometimes and long sometimes.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/05/32.jpg

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/05/33.jpg

somebody know something about that?

ozzy47 05-17-2012 09:40 AM

Nevermind

DragonByte Tech 05-17-2012 09:43 AM

What do you have the stylevar, vbnavtabs_popup_width in the DragonByteTechMods group set to?

Chris

ohadpartuck 05-17-2012 11:48 AM

It was set to 400px and I set it to 200px.
Should it be something else?

I also get an error msg in the page saying
"
Warning: xcache_set(): xcache.var_size is either 0 or too small to enable var data caching in [path]/includes/class_datastore.php on line 617
" , many times.

It keeps displaying non constant width submenues..

DragonByte Tech 05-18-2012 10:38 AM

I would contact your host and tell them about the error, it seems like you are running xcache and it is not set high enough. Maybe once that is sorted the width will be solved, as it gets all the info for the tabs and menus from the datastore.

Hi,
I am trying to HTML validate my site and I am getting this error concerning this add on
ID "tabpopupctrl" already defined?
Where is the code for that? and how sould I change it?

thank you:)

DragonByte Tech 05-21-2012 11:23 PM

If you are only making one other dropdown tab with this mod, I suppose you could open the file, dbtech/vbnavtabs/includes/functions.php and find the following line:

Code:

$render_dropdowntab ='<li class="popupmenu"><a href="javascript://" class="popupctrl navtab" id="tabpopupctrl" style="background:transparent url('.$imgdir_misc.'/arrow.png) no-repeat '.$right.' center; padding-right: 15px" >'. $new_title .'</a><ul class="popupbody popuphover">';
And change tabpopupctrl to tabpopupctrl_two

Chris

ohadpartuck 05-22-2012 11:27 AM

thanks but it will not work because the error is due to the fact that there is more then one same id. but I just removed it totally and it works...

Racechaser 05-24-2012 10:53 AM

So I dowloaded a few of your mods and the first one I tried was the tabs program. I downloaded it and followed the directions as I understand them but can't install it. When I try to import it most times it says there is no install file or something.

Does it matter where in the forums root directory the upload folder goes?

This is my first vbulletin forum and I am still learning so any help would be appreciated.

Racechaser 05-24-2012 04:59 PM

/home/content/82/9258282/html/forums/dbtech/vbnavtabs/includes/class_install.php appears to be missing!

This is the error code that comes up.

DragonByte Tech 05-25-2012 12:59 AM

Please drag and drop the contents of the upload folder to your forums folder - that file is most definitely there, I'm looking at a fresh downloaded copy just now.

Makes me wonder now if these are useful for the PRO version:

Quote:

General Settings
Ability to hide Global Search Box
Ability to hide Forum tab
Ability to hide What's New tab
Ability to hide Blog tab, vB Suite only
Ability to hide Home tab, vB Suite only
Seeing they are within the Navigation Manager now and can be easily removed/changed.

dany_danay 08-07-2012 10:13 PM

I want to enable the second tab, but i dont found the code editions.. Can you help?

DragonByte Tech 08-08-2012 12:10 AM

If you are talking about the second navbar, that is a Pro only feature.

Nirjonadda 08-22-2012 10:12 PM

vBNavTabs For vB 4.2 Released , Pro Version work on vB 4.2 !

DragonByte Tech 08-22-2012 11:42 PM

I should have a lite version out soon for vB 4.2

Chris

DragonByte Tech 08-24-2012 09:49 PM

The lite version for vB 4.2 is found in the product zip now.

You will find the version for for vB4.2 in the downloaded zip in a folder called vBNavTabs For vB 4.2 ONLY!!! That is what you use if you are running vB 4.2

DragonByte Tech 08-25-2012 05:03 PM

Chris

unfv 08-26-2012 10:30 PM

Hi, I've just installed and no error where shown. I have the 4.2 version and copy the files on "vBNavTabs For vB 4.2 ONLY!!!" folder. After installing the product, I edit the NAVBAR template but I cannot see the menu on the left panel.

No new menu is shown on my site.

Make sure your user is set to super administrator in config.php There should be a menu in the left side of the ACP called, DBTech -vBNavTabs 4.2

Chris

wtfaatp 08-29-2012 05:47 PM

I installed the mod however I see no way to add tabs? I'm using the 4.2 version.

I can see the "DBTech -vBNavTabs 4.2" tab in the admin section. Within that I have "General Settings". I see no way to add tabs?

Edit : Uninstall and Re-install twice Including upload of files!

DragonByte Tech 08-29-2012 06:13 PM

You add tabs via the Navigation Manager that is a part of vB 4.2

Chris

unfv 08-30-2012 05:31 AM

Hi, same as wtfaatp . I'm using the 4.2 version. I can see the "DBTech -vBNavTabs 4.2" tab in the admin section. Within that I have "General Settings". Can I add a Dropdown Tab?

Thanks

DragonByte Tech 08-30-2012 09:54 AM

It is a small process but not to difficult.

1) Create a tab.
2) Create a menu for the tab.
3) Edit the tab and the last setting, "Select The Menu To Act As The Dropdown." select the menu you just created, click on save.
4) Add links to the menu you created, these are what will show up as the dropdown items in the tab.

ohadpartuck 09-11-2012 01:15 PM

Hi,
I have added a vbnav Tab (plugin). I want it to be visible to all fourum users (even unregistered) but I want the links on to be clickable only to a certain group(users group).

How do I hack this?

thanks:D

TheSupportForum 09-11-2012 05:30 PM

@DragonByte Tech

i don't understand why you have released this for 4.2.0
version 4.2.0 already has a built in navigation manager
and their is as add-on that allows 80% maybe more of your pro featues and its all free

the pro features you mention

Add / Edit Tabs
Add / Edit Links
Add / Edit Tabs

with the additional add-on for the navigation manager
it does all 3 of your pro features

That is not possible, and I think it would be rather difficult to do as it would require alot of editing and different types of permissions.

You need to read further:
  • Add / Edit Tabs
    • Ability to set which navbar the item shows in.
    • Ability to set a image to show on the tab.
    • Ability to add rel="nofollow" to the tabs.
    • Ability to have notes for the tab, viewable when you edit a tab.
  • Add / Edit Menus
    • Ability to set a image to show on the menu.
    • Ability to add rel="nofollow" to the menu.
    • Ability to have notes for the menu, viewable when you edit a menu.
  • Add / Edit Links
    • Ability to set a image to show on the link.
    • Ability to add rel="nofollow" to the link.
    • Ability to have notes for the link, viewable when you edit a link.
You can not choose a additional navbar to display tabs, add images to the items, set nofollow to the url's or add notes in the navigation manager by default, with the add on you can. :)

Hi Ive installed this mod and the tabs show up fine but.....im no longer seeing the forumhomepage when enabled.

It shows this page http://nifgaming.eu/forums/dbtgallery.php?gal=gallery instead of this http://nifgaming.eu/forums/forum.php .

I for now have disabled so i can use the forums but i would like to find what the issue is as im really keen to have this runing on my forums.

Many thanks in advance

Andy

DragonByte Tech 09-13-2012 03:35 PM

If you pm me a admin account, I can look into this when I get home from work to see what the issue is, also put a link to this thread in the pm so I and the other dev's know what it is for.

Chris

n00bl3t 09-18-2012 01:59 AM

The latest release is breaking my entire forum style. Not sure why. As soon as I install the .xml file and have it enabled my style is just messed up. I disable the mod or remove it and it resets and looks just fine. Any idea?

DragonByte Tech 09-18-2012 02:03 AM

A link to the site would help. Also does this happen on a unmodified defult style?

Chris

n00bl3t 09-18-2012 02:33 AM

Ah I currently have my site turned off as I am redoing basically everything. I did however just try a past style I had on and it did the same thing; basically breaking the style making it look really messy. I didn't have this problem with the previous versions, kinda strange.

I did test this however also on the regular vbulletin style and seemed just fine. So it is just the custom styles. I'm curious if anyone else is having this?

DragonByte Tech 09-18-2012 02:37 AM

Is the custom style from BluePearl? And which version of vB are you running 4.1.x or 4.2.x?

Chris

n00bl3t 09-18-2012 02:38 AM

PurevB

The one I am running currently is ZoneOne.

DragonByte Tech 09-18-2012 02:39 AM

Is the style available here on vb.org, if so can you give me the link to the style so I can test it out on my machine.

Chris

n00bl3t 09-18-2012 02:45 AM

No unfortunately it isn't and is a paid style. :/

I can however perhaps set up a temp account that you can use for my site? If you are willing to do this PM me. This would be so much help if you did this.

DragonByte Tech 09-18-2012 02:46 AM

If you set up a temp admin account for me pm it to me on here, and I can take a quick look.

Chris
