i installed the pro version of this mod and wow! is much all i can say! best arcade out there! and i was amazed on the easy of transferring all data from the other versions of acrades! it was really as easy as a push of a button and all data transfered!

If you followed my list and are running the latest version, I cannot diagnose further what your issues are without having a closer look at your site.

Has anyone been experiencing the i.e. screen size reduction when attempting to play a game?
I am interested in buying the pro version but not if I am going to have the same problem.
FF,Safari and Opera are great just get a 75% reduction with i.e. Any one know of a fix for this
or if the same problems exists in pro?

I have had one report of that happening before, but didnt figure out what was causing it, but it was definitely related to that person's styles or addons. I dont withhold patches from the lite versions :p definitely wait on getting the pro version until that is sorted out.

I dont mean to sound flippant, but... you will never know if your issue is fixed because you nor I will be able to identify what it is, to determine if I inadvertently fix, unless you keep it installed and up to date to check periodically. Well, the success ratio for this addon doesn't seem so bleak despite the handful of people who have had scoring problems, which is why I have a troubleshooting guide in the first place.

All of them have since been addressed with updates and patches, but I cannot delete their obsolete posts to clear up that impression. I was able to arrive at the solutions by seeing what their unique situations were. A few happened to be from the same bugs, but again my troubleshooting guide has many bullets to try because of the many unique scenarios so far.

I'm not upset, just concerned you will not be able to get much help in general if that is your policy towards standard support cycles. It is only coincidence that I am the perhaps the first person to be spending this much time discussing it with you, but you'll have the same problem with support for other addons eventually.

Your mechanic can only give you a short list of stuff to figure out why your car isn't running, and if you try them all and don't give him your keys to try it out himself, there's not much hope in getting your car fixed.

I don't want to simply write you off and ignore you from now on, because I'm really not trying to be rude to you :( heck, if it made you more comfortable and got your problems fixed, I would even be willing to sign some sort of contract in private.

I'm not sure where you feel John was upset - He was simply making the point that there almost certainly won't BE a "fix" for the issue - since a) we have no idea what is causing your issue and b) there is no global issue with the product - hundreds of sites are running vBArcade with the feature working just fine.

95% of the time the instructions in the thread work, the 5% of the time they DON'T work it is because of a conflict somewhere. It could be a setting, a conflicting modification, something outdated on the server etc. We have no way of knowing without actually being able to access the server and check it out.

I'm not really sure what you meant by " if you are going to pay my server costs and vb license by all means i would give you access" - Us taking the time to come to your site and fix the issue unique to your server is us helping you :P

Not granting us access is your prerogative of course, but considering as a company we count companies as large as Gearbox Software as clients and sites such as mmo-champion as clients you could safely assume your site would be safe in our hands =)

In any case we genuinely do wish you the best in finding something that will better suit your needs, no one is "upset" at you by any means so i'm glad to clear up that misconception =).

In the arcade page where it shows online users, the names are back to back without any spacing. How can I fix this?

Ok I'm trying to find out if anyone else is experiencing this scenario that I currently am.

Some of my members can play the games I have installed, some can not. The games simply don't load (they don't even load the advet, but they can play the same game at mochigames without any issues).

It's not a permissions problem as I have been able to play any game on any account (admin mod member etc etc).

Flash and javascript are enabled (in a skype meeting with some members), cookies have been cleared, and as far as I can tell the ad site (url) isn't blocked.

EDIT: have tried with multiple browsers as well

Edit the dbtech_vbarcade_navtab template, and stick target="_blank" after class="navtab"

That seems to be a bug. I will get back with a fix soon.

The ad is loaded by mochi though - so if it got that far, then vbarcade has successfully done as much as it can to serve up the game. Have you verified your domain with mochi?

I did not update mine, this is a new install. What I am finding is It wont register the scores and when you hold over the score button that is next to current champion on the left box beside the game screen I get this, (website name has been put in place of the site name)

i install right now your mod and import my old games from my ibparcade. great it shows all the old scores but when i play a game now it safe not the score from me.
what do i wrong?

I use vbseo, maybe it is important.

After the play and i bush submit tha arcade load my forumhome and then the game start again.

Yes our domain is verified with mochi :) The folks that are unable to play don't see the adverts, they see the first screen with the "begin" or "play now" button, they click on it, and all they get is a white screen inside of the box where the advert/game should be.

It is quite the frustrating scenario, as I can not find any reason for it to happen :D

EDIT: I can not find the dbtech_vbarcade_navtab template. In my dbtech ->vbarcde folder there is no such file. I'm using the lite version, and it's not that big of a deal. I can make a navtab using one of the other mods installed (just didn't think about that until today :D )

Are you at least getting commas between names? Locally I get commas but they lack the spacing. Just wanted to make sure.

Do you know the browsers that those users are using? Does it work for yourself? Does scoring work when the games work?

Templates are found through your admincp. Styles & Templates menu, Style Manager link. Then dbtech_vbarcade_navtab is within the DragonByte Tech: vBArcade template group. It is definitely in the lite version.

The users having problems with the arcade games are using (the other admin has a mac notebook and even tried safari or whatever), IE, FF, and/or Chrome (all were updated when asked and tested again with no success).

Yes scoring works just fine :) I myself can play the games (on FF and IE both the latest versions) on 3 accounts (admin, mod, regular member), one of my moderators can play on their mod account and their regular account.

One of my mods can't play on their mod account or their regular account (exact same permissions).

When you say scoring works fine,which game type are you using? Tar or a feed? Feeds are great but if your members have adblock+ installed on their browser (firefox) they won't show the ads but they also won't submit the scores as the submitting of scores is also on the ad server.

Tar. I use FF mainly and I have no issues submitting my scores, or keeping them local (which is what we'll probably wind up doing).

I don't really understand why you should be editing ibp highscore games to work with Mochi!They'll never work.

Seems to me it works well with feeds,but not with tar..

So was it a matter of template edits needing to be reverted on some of your styles?

Yes, and if you got the same error, you didnt apply it to the right file. The message includes the path to the file.

Looks like more recent versions of vb broke that part of the style, I will fix it soon.

I have a forum block functionality ready, but trying to decide if I should move it to its own addon.

The import method has no bearing on scores (the end results of each are stored locally). However, scoring system matters. Tar games are usually ipa type and need the .htaccess working

The error message should have included the instructions on what to do with it - namely that you need to edit it into the .htaccess file specified and import the product again. If you get the same message, then you did not edit the right thing.

If anyone has trouble with getting .htaccess edits in properly, PM with both the contents of your original, and what vBArcade wants you to use, and I will respond back with the completed one.

Also - I am improving the installer on automatically detecting where it can insert the code it needs to cut down on the confusion :)
