RoG Aftermath 02-01-2012 05:37 AM

Just installed this and its working, as its pulling the articles from my CMS, but for some reason its not displaying the images, only the text in the article? Anyone have any idea on what to do to make it work?

Glad its working. Images should be placed before the cms article is created on the home page. This is because of the RSS feed - only picks up images when the thread is initially created.

Is there any way to displace the slide on a specific thread in a forum?

Sorry, but no. You would need a static slider, not a dynamic one.

What about not a specific thread but a specific forum section? Like if I create a forum section with thread fill with pictures, how do I set it to scan that portion of the section only? thanks

daveaite 05-03-2012 12:36 AM

You can use the RSS feed of that forum and link it to the slider.

daveaite 05-03-2012 12:38 AM

We are now in spec'ing of this modification for v.3.0 Development, stay tuned!

I but the premium version from vbsocial.com it's just unfair that the forum-slider doesn't pull image from my forum. The premium version doesn't even look like the demo you display.

Please correct this error. I want the Slider to pull images from my forum

I can't pay $59 dollar and i don't get what i want...make the changes and will remove this comment. See the demo www.naijafinder.com

daveaite 06-23-2012 08:36 PM

Whats the rss feed your pulling off of?

The next version of forumslider is literally spectacular. Its' almost done and will be ready for release either this week or the next. This next version will change the way forums work. Keep checking back mate.

3.0 is coming!

Yes, using forum IDS in admincp.

Sorry for the delays on the release, we are still testing, some minor issues popped up. Still will be released this weekend though.

barakuda 06-30-2012 11:25 AM

hemm still waiting for the release ,,

is the image can manually add with us?, or just automatic ,,
an the content can add manually like custom content/thread, not automatic

sorry for the bad english

daveaite 06-30-2012 05:42 PM

Small update:

We are currently rebuilding the related links part and using vbulletin similar links architecture to create more stability. Before it was searching directly cms and forums, not as efficient.

Images are grabbed from threads automatically. However if you want images that you want, you can add them to the image bank:

I am eagerly anticipating this release. Can I place this wherever I want inside templates? I'd like to use it with the Article Forum modification to create a news page.

Hanany95 07-01-2012 07:18 PM

Is there an online demo version or an example I can see please? Thanks.

nacaruncr 07-02-2012 05:54 AM

I installed but don't show the images :S

Naijasite 07-02-2012 07:18 AM

I just tried to download the Proversion as VIP. When ever i click on VIP DOWNLOAD it takes me to http://vbsocial.com/join-today. Please rectify it..i have already made payment.

Thanks in advance..

Delfi_r 07-02-2012 09:08 AM

I'm running V3.0 lite, I was expecting this release, but you provide no manual for the lite version.

Without it I can't upgrade and without upgrading there is no possibility to go for the paid version.

As we want to pull images from Flickr as usual I understand that we'll get more images on show and automatic resizing. So im very interested

Please explain us how two install the lite version and we'll go forward!

Naijasite 07-02-2012 09:53 AM

very true. however the update is massive and takes every input into development and then some

Delfi_r 07-02-2012 08:11 PM

I've figured to get some instructions on your site. but many aspects are closed to non paying members.

And there is no mention to upgrade. I understand that they are different and can be used accordingly?
