is there any fast way to let every usergroup (I got like 30 of them) see & participate on the quiz other than editing their permission one by one?

First, thanks for a fun mod!

Second, I have a problem with this mod being infected with a virus. It sets off nod32 and security essentials and black lists the pages. It happened to both sites I have used this mod on. I scanned the directory and all of the files within the dbtech/vbquiz directory seam to be infected.

Can I overwrite the directory with clean files to solve the issue, or I need to do something more? How can I prevent this from happening again?

Hey,

I've just downloaded the 1.2.1 files and installed them on a test board, and Nod32 (v5.0.93.0) has kept entirely quiet. Could you provide a screenshot of the virus popup Nod32 gives when you're attempting to access your site?

Also, you may want to check your FTP access logs to ensure nobody has uploaded infected files without your knowledge.

In addition, if you didn't get the files from www.DragonByte-Tech.com or from this thread, then it's possible the user that uploaded the files has attached viruses to them.

Finally, you may want to run a deep scan of your computer just to make sure it's not a virus that's hiding in sections of the OS that Nod's live protection don't normally scan.

same results for me, when I download the zip it is scanned as clean, but when I try to download the vbquiz driectory from my site I get this message 100's of times for each file that is infected.

vBQuiz does not contain a directory called /dbtech/vbquiz/includes/nickmartin :)

I don't know how that directory got created, but it was infected for sure.

It's not an issue in vBQuiz, I suggest you follow the advice posted in my previous post :)

If it -was- vBQuiz, NOD would trigger when you first downloaded it, not after you uploaded it. Whatever script on your server is infected is scanning for writable directories and duplicates itself to that folder.

To which folder I have to upload it in??
I uploaded in the main folder but a missing file occurred...

I have the Pro version of this running on 4.1.10 and now when someone completes a quiz they are getting a score of 0% each and every time Has this been updated since 4.1.10 came out? I am running vBQuiz v1.1.1

From0to3to4to3 has completed the scored quiz Red Sox .vs. Yankees 2004 ALCS and got a 0%.

Now before anyone says well maybe he did score a 0% impossible because I made a question that only had the right answer to choose from lol. Any help would be appreciated before my members start a revolt against me :)

Can you tell me the error you are getting? Upload all the files in the upload folder to your main forum directory should put everything there.

I've installed the modification, the problem is I can't find the VbQuiz in my forum to create one.
In another words, the modification are not exist in the top navigation...
Any suggestions...

In usergroups, you need to set up permissions for each usergroup you have.

I change the permission, but I couldn't see the "take quiz" permission.
The registered users are able to click on the Take Quiz, once they click on it. It give them you don't have permission to take the quiz.
Any suggestions?

Can you please confirm that the pro version:
- provides the users the ability to see correct/wrong answers after completing the quiz
- provides the ability to shuffle (randomize) the questions and/or answers

Pro has the ability to show the users the answer with an explanation after the quiz is completed.
There is no ability to shuffle the questions at the present time. The questions and answers are in a set order.

I Just only installed lite version but feel it's difficult to create a quiz. I Would like to to create What Marvel Comic Character Are you? like in your site but don't know how to do that. I know it result genertate quiz.

Hi Dragon, i have 3 problems:

1)My user can retry a quiz more and more time, but i have set to 1 max retry in ACP
2)I can't update score of my users entry! example (i want convert quiz percent result to point) and i see ever percent result o.O
3)In a percent quiz (5 question for example) a user have scored 50%???????? O____O It's impossible!

I wait next month to buy the pro version to get the answers at the end of the vbquiz questionnaire. The free version is fine and thank you for the update.

I think it should add the option:
Randomize N / total number of questions
Randomized order of questions and answers

Installed on 4.1.11 patch 2 and seems to be working except for images. If I add any images to a quiz or a question within a quiz I get this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreatefrompng() in /home/public_html/forum/dbtech/vbquiz/includes/common_functions.php on line 288
Any idea what is going on here?

It resizes the images using GD so it requires that be enabled in php. That error usually happens when you don't have GD installed. Can you see if you have GD installed and what version you are running if you do?

Hi great mod! However, doing some testing, when the quiz is finished, it says 100%. In the activity stream however, it says "xxx just scored 150%" Any ideas what's going wrong?

Also, how to disable the navtab, or at least edit the name?

After I created a quiz, I tried to modified it. When clicking on the EDIT QUESTION button, I get a blank page on vbquiz.php?do=questionedit&question_id=XX&id=YY
