This plugin has worked before on a different forum without the error, and now its giving me that error on a different forum with the same host, and same vB version.

wowglider 06-15-2012 09:42 AM

Is this even working? It selects all as spam, expect of spam?! This is weird.

tonjohn 06-20-2012 10:26 PM

I installed the mod today and have run into various issues:
- Unable to read PMs
Code:

Failed opening required 'includes/functions_ghsom.php' ....  in <redacted>\forums\includes\class_dm_user.php(1833) : eval()'d code on line 3
- occasional double posts

Using v1.2.7 on vb 3.8.7 PL2

squidsk 06-22-2012 01:53 PM

It looks like you didn't upload all the files to your sever, particularly that file from the includes folder.

tonjohn 06-22-2012 03:45 PM

The file is definitely there.

Vcize 07-13-2012 02:38 AM

I accidentally posted this in the vb4 thread, but it's actually happening on my vb3.8 forum..

I'm having a weird problem with this mod.

When I have it enabled, any time I try to save anything on the admin site (not just within this mod, but anywhere) it will time out. As soon as I disable this mod, the problem goes away.

Here is what my host said about the issue. Again this seems to go away when I disable this mod...

Quote:

Most likely, the code within the forum is allowing Keep-Alive connections, but it looks like they do not get closed efficiently and they stay open. This bogs down Apache, as it only has a certain number of connections allowed to be open at once. Have you had a developer take a look at the code and optimize the way it handles keep-alive connections? I would start there, and if there are any server-side configurations that the developer would need in order to optimize the site code, just open a ticket and we'll get it set to whatever they need.
It only seems to affect my largest forums, so I'm guessing that there is a bug in there leaving connections open and most forums just aren't large/active enough for the problems to be visible.

Me, too. I don't feel so badly, now. lol

We installed Glowhost a few days ago, and it appears to be working fantastically with vB3.8.

The only issue I have seen is after submitting a post as being spam on my site, I get an error message. I was hoping that someone could tell me what this is about, and what is required to correct the error. Is it something I did incorrectly? If so, what?

I appreciate any help with this. I actually used Google to search for the error info, but got nothing in return. Same with searching for the error on this site.

The message I am getting is:

Quote:

data submitted successfully

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [path]/includes/functions_ghsom.php:466) in [path]/inlinemod.php on line 1467
Thank you for your help!

viper357 08-18-2012 06:54 AM

I've been using this mod for quite a while now, but after a server move I am now getting the same error as MARKA above.
Quote:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [path]/includes/functions_ghsom.php:466) in [path]/inlinemod.php on line 1477
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mod but it didn't help, could it possibly be due to my php version?
PHP Version 5.3.13

Thanks.

Any help for the above error anyone? Please. :)

Looks like we are talking to ourselves. :confused:

I tried a few things, but still get the error. Even with the error messages, it seems to be working. Must be a minor error.

Dear Sir,

Kindly release for VB 3.7

Thank you to everyone who provided assistance with my prior inquiries. I have not changed anything, however I am getting an abundance of error messages that I do not understand.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on what is causing these errors and how to correct the errors.

When I submit multiple posts for deletion and punitive action, I get the following message that appears, and then redirects:

Quote:

Anybody got any idea what could be causing the above error?

HotLink 01-30-2013 04:14 PM

It gives this errors on posting new thread:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_BOOLEAN_OR in /home/******/public_html/forums/includes/functions_newpost.php(414) : eval()'d code on line 5

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_BOOLEAN_OR in /home/******/public_html/forums/includes/class_dm_threadpost.php(1648) : eval()'d code on line 4

Everything seems to be fine after disabling this product so, i had to uninstall it. It would really be awesome this would be as good as the one for vB4.

mykkal 02-02-2013 11:37 PM

I'm going to install this today. Looks promising.

I've spent at least 45 minutes everyday deleting spammers. Hopefully this fixes those issues and I don't have to worry about spambots anymore. There are so many other ways I would rather spend my time.

MikesSite 03-28-2013 04:26 PM

Downloaded and installed, thanks.

I too was getting these errors when trying to post new threads. I went back and noticed that i downloaded Spam-o-matic 1.2.0 because i just saw the VB3-8 in the description. Not thinking that 1.2.8 was appropriate for my forum (vb 3.8.5) i went back and read some other posts... after downloading and installing 1.2.8, the parse errors are gone!

Now, its time to see if its working to keep spammers out. I've got a Stop Forum Spam API key configured, but haven't done anything with Akismet.com just yet. I'm still kind of confused how they force you to use a Wordpress login in order to get a paid / commercial API key? Can anyone explain how this works exactly? Do i just sign up as if i'm using Wordpress but then plug my Akismet API key into the vBulletin options for Spam-o-matic?

Thanks a bunch guys.

reflekt 05-26-2013 07:37 PM

I've accrued 8 million rows in a few months, and noticed that it's running very slow queries against the log with no indexes...

Code:

# User@Host: xxxx[xxxxx] @ localhost []
# Query_time: 14.945075  Lock_time: 0.000062 Rows_sent: 0  Rows_examined: 8553148
use xxxxxxx;
SET timestamp=1369595005;
UPDATE glowhostspamomatic_log SET `user_id` = "279880" WHERE `user_hash` = "1a63b3c7499deefee4b121c5672f883d";
# Time: 130526 15:09:39
# User@Host: xxxxxxx[xxxxxxxxxxx] @ localhost []
# Query_time: 15.324704  Lock_time: 0.000042 Rows_sent: 0  Rows_examined: 8553240
SET timestamp=1369595379;
UPDATE glowhostspamomatic_log SET `user_id` = "279881" WHERE `user_hash` = "acb81e895baacbef488a6a6ab07c8a7b";

This was version 1.2.4. I have just upgraded to 1.2.8 - is this issue fixed in the newer version? Should I be truncating my log every 24 hours? What is the log used for?

Thanks!

Had to make a small change to the XML files sql syntax for it to import, so if you get SQL error whilst importing the XML file, make the changes mentioned below.

In product-glowhostspamomatic.xml

FIND:
Code:

) TYPE=MyISAM; ');
REPLACE WITH:
Code:

) TYPE=ENGINE; ');
SAVE AND RE IMPORT XML FILE, ENJOY :)

Hmm... didn't work for me... I have DB error with both above syntax's :(

threads wont post properly , screen hangs. (the thread actually posts but the screen goes to a blank page)
the "submit to stopforum spam" doesn't show when you open a user in cpadmin...

i'd like to know how you guys got it to work in 3.8.7 PL3 (version 1.2.7)
php 5.3.24
mysql 5.5.30-30.2

couldn't figure it out so i deleted the files manually, and reuploaded them again.
of course i forgot to modify the xml again so database error.
fixed that, reimported and now it works again.
I suspect that the previous upload might have been a fekkup...
apologies!

disabling spm o matic and re enabling it will allow posts to be moved...

looks like i'll have to upgrade to 4.2 to have it working properly...

I just started using this mod, and while it is blocking most of the spam registrations, some are still getting through. If I look these up on the SFS site, they are clearly there and have been for months (usually).

How are these few registrations bypassing the SFS check?
