Thanks for the update but it doesn't seem to be working for me, the little edit icon will only show up when I have moods enabled, if I disable moods and have status enabled then there is no icon the postbit to enable members to edit their status's. It was working fine before the update.

Hmm, I'll look into this. Thanks for reporting.

Is it possible to deactivate the moods function and to only activate the status function?

You can do this in the vBulletin Options for the mod.

ShawneyJ 08-11-2010 01:04 PM

hey DragonByte Tech, since your last update, the moods select in profile and postbit does not work. like the moods drop down does not appear to select your mood, this is only in IE not FF, FF works fine.
thanks.

edit: running 3.8.6

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I must have missed your message. You can show more of them by opening up /dbtech/status/hooks/forumhome_complete.php. From there you need to find the LIMIT 5 and change it to something like LIMIT 10 or LIMIT 15 (etc.)

Hey,

You can do this by opening up /dbtech/status/hooks/postbit_display_complete.php and finding the following line.

Code:

$post ['dbtech_status_status'] = wordwrap ( $post ['dbtech_status_status'], 30, "<br />", true );
From there just edit the part in red to a higher number (this number represents how many characters are on a line before it goes to a new line. Hope this helps.

Nice job :)

I'm wondering how many "recent" status' it will show on the profile tab? Is there any way to prune/limit the number? Thanks :)

Their is no limit! :) Once you reach a certain amount you will get a gadget that will allow you to select a page number which goes all the way back to your first update.

I don't get a DBTech FB Status tab in my admincp. Any suggestions? I uploaded The upload files as such #1. admincp to admincp. #2. dbtech to forums #3. Images to images #4. Includes to Includes.

I get no Admincp tab for this mod. Did I do something wrong?

procard 09-03-2010 07:02 PM

I moved the DBTech file around in the ftp now I can open the board. Heres the message I'm getting. Need serious help!

That is not a built in feature currently but I will most likely be including a CMS widget in the next update.

Hi David

I am trying to wade though all the mods that do this fuctionality. Yours looks pretty sweet, nice mod, thanks for putting it together.

A CMS widget would be great, essentially creates a roll out page. Do you have a time line for its completion? Ever thing of allowing someone to reply to someone's update?

Thanks!

I have some nifty things I want to add in a future version! The ideas you've mentioned are of course very possible!

As far as I know it does work with 4.0.x :)

You just need to import the correct XML file (use the vB4 one). I hope this helps.

It already is in its own template - dbtech_status_postbit / dbtech_status_memberinfo.

Yes, i have a new Template "status", there I would like to have it.

The Template Code from dbtech_status_postbit / dbtech_status_memberinfo not work in status.

Alfa1 10-10-2010 09:25 PM

This isn't working for me. Not because there is some bug, but because I can not allow usergroups to use this. I can only disallow usergroups to use this.
This means that you can not use this hack for additional usergroups. I use additional usergroups. Previously I used vbstatus to give them status fucntionality.

Could you consider to add a function to specify which usergroups are allowed to use the status function?

onealien 10-10-2010 09:29 PM

i already have a mood mod that i like running...can this be just used for the 'short message'?

or maybe there is smth else better for that part only?

thanks....

I guess you could edit the input box and set a maxlength attribute to it.
