DragonByte Tech 01-20-2011 10:10 PM

AUT v1.2.3 has been released.

This version offers only two changes:
  • It is now possible to Mention people in Blogs.
  • Compatibility with the upcoming Postbit Tabs mod has been added.

The issues that stem from the lack of ; delimiter (email accounts being mentioned, incorrect user being selected some of the time, etc.) are not fixed in this version.
Those issues requires a more extensive update to fix.

Fillip I think this is the most useful modification currently available on vBulletin.Org thanks for updating it and I look forward to the future updates!

DragonByte Tech 01-20-2011 10:38 PM

Glad you enjoy it :D

No word on when exactly the next update will be, but considering this mod hasn't had a proper feature update in some time, it's not far off the top :)

Hey for some reason, when I downloaded the new pro version... I was getting an error for 3.8.6.

MySQL Error : Table 'XXXXXX.blog_text' doesn't exist

Updated the zip, that should fix it for you :)

Fillip

I'll download the latest pro version from your site tonight and let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Advanced User Tagging v1.2.4
  • Fixed a potential security risk with the Mentions display in profiles.
  • Fixed the rare instance where someone would receive eval() errors because of the PHP code not being linked to files in the file system.

furnival 01-30-2011 10:16 PM

Really superb mod. It has made a huge difference to my board. Thanks!

Wonksta 01-30-2011 10:57 PM

How serious is the Security risk?

DragonByte Tech 01-30-2011 11:17 PM

It could potentially be serious, I don't really want to go into too many details but I'd strongly recommend updating.

Fillip

Wonksta 01-30-2011 11:23 PM

Cool just paid for Pro version BTW ;)

Wonksta 01-30-2011 11:29 PM

hmm in vbulletin it says its 1.2.3 not 1.2.4???

DragonByte Tech 01-30-2011 11:33 PM

Ah sorry about that, I fixed that now. You can re-download it and re-import, and it'll correctly show 1.2.4 :)

Fillip

Wonksta 01-30-2011 11:38 PM

Cool does the Security Risk affect 1.2.1 ?

DragonByte Tech 01-30-2011 11:46 PM

Yeah it does, it affects I think every version of 1.1.x and above.

It's apparently quite obscure since nobody reported it before today :p

Fillip

Wonksta 01-30-2011 11:58 PM

OK Cool thanks for the continued updating on this!

Wonksta 01-31-2011 01:27 AM

I am using the Lite Version on my other smaller sites but since Upgrading to 1.2.4 Lite

When I tag people:

Following Happens

Test @£2

@£2

@£2

It parses @£2 instead of their username???

Wonksta 01-31-2011 01:28 AM

Update: It is happening in the Pro Version too across all sites :S

DragonByte Tech 01-31-2011 02:11 AM

Advanced User Tagging v1.2.5
  • Fixed a problem with mentions not appearing correctly in posts or profiles.

Fillip

DragonByte Tech 01-31-2011 04:20 AM

Zip updated again to fully fix the issue brought on by v1.2.4.

Awesome work installed and tested. Working!

Akyeame Kwame 02-01-2011 06:30 PM

Hello, I'm getting the following error on my forums as soon as I upload the product. Any ideas? I appreciate it
Code:

Warning: require([path]/dbtech/usertag/class_template.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/dbtech/usertag/hooks/bbcode_parse_complete_precache.php on line 5

Nevermind, bbcode_parse_complete_precache.php was looking for usertag/class_template.php but I found the file in usertag/includes/class_template.php
I just modified the code and it's no longer breaking the board:up:

DragonByte Tech 02-01-2011 07:05 PM

I'll get that sorted for others on vB3 ASAP :)

DEGE 02-01-2011 07:31 PM

I've installed it. Worked fine. Any way to route the notifications directly to the post? I can edit the template, but need to know where to find the url.

Great mod

DEGE

DragonByte Tech 02-01-2011 07:51 PM

That's sadly not possible and will never be, due to the way the notifications system work in vBulletin.

Fillip

Akyeame Kwame 02-04-2011 10:49 PM

Is there a way to have the notifications sent to a tagged user via email? Also is there a way to tag users on a picture in user albums? If we can get these two features, vb will stop losing ground to fb
Great mod by the way!

DragonByte Tech 02-04-2011 10:51 PM

Currently not possible, but they will be added to future versions :)

Great! I look forward to it. Will future versions still support 3.8?

DragonByte Tech 02-04-2011 11:11 PM

Existing products will still be supported on vB3 for the foreseeable future, but any new products will generally speaking be vB4 only, unless we're seeing a massive drop in profits as a result.

I'm a real cheapskate but I'd definitely pay for that functionality as I'm sure would all sensible vb admins. Those two features are the main ways fb is able to outperform vb.
Great work once again and I look forward to seeing the update to the already wonderful product.

Me too, I'm eagerly waiting to buy the PRO version once the email or PM notification feature for vb 3 has been added.

Dave84311 02-11-2011 06:38 PM

I've noticed an issue when someone quotes a post that has had someone mentioned in, it counts as another mention. Is there any way to disable that? I find it extremely irritating.

DragonByte Tech 02-11-2011 06:41 PM

That's sadly not possible, no.

Fillip

Dave84311 02-17-2011 04:10 PM

Email tags are broken with this mod.

DragonByte Tech 02-21-2011 01:42 PM

Advanced User Tagging v1.2.6
* Compatibility for the vB3 version of Postbit Tabs has been added
* Pre-emptive compatibility for the next version of vBShout has been added

Fillip

DEGE 02-21-2011 02:02 PM

Hi,

Is there any way to **remove** mistaken tags ? Don't see any.

DragonByte Tech 02-21-2011 04:14 PM

That's not possible, no.
