Abe1 (Last Online: Jun 2010)

Expect no response!

Someone should think of reproducing this

pportuese 01-31-2012 03:00 PM

This should be a standard feature in vb4

BlueCheri 01-31-2012 03:19 PM

Excellent, works fine.

Installed, many thanx.

Bulbucan 01-31-2012 11:47 PM

Whats the name of addon you use "add setting" etc?

OcR Envy 02-01-2012 08:59 PM

This works fine on vB 4.1.10 those who say it wasn't working with 4.1.7 must be doing something wrong.

Cromags21 02-05-2012 04:24 PM

I have a question, I have usergroups on my forums. The leaders of the usergroups would like to use this feature as well. Right now I can only see admin of our forums having the rights to use this awesome feature.

Is there away to give the usergroup leader the ability to use this feature as well?

now without making them an admin of the site

damien3877 02-10-2012 10:55 PM

This doesn't work for me, no idea what I'm doing wrong. Version: 4.1.10 and the option shows up but when I try to add it and click "save", nothing happens.

Can anyone like make a video on exactly how to do this?

DAMINK 02-10-2012 11:08 PM

This mod worked ok for me until 4.1.10
It still worked even then but prevented the finalization of the registration process and ultimately no one could register.
Had to uninstall on my forum anyway.

remove all files from this mod .. check the zip archive to make sure you get them all then go to product manager and on the right side select remove / uninstall

DAMINK 02-11-2012 01:18 AM

I think you misunderstood what i said Hippy.
I already removed it.
I was just letting people know it appeared to work on 4.1.10 for me and did work actually but it prevented finalisation of registration for new members ultimately preventing anyone from registering. Thats why i uninstalled it.
It could be related to some other mods i have on my forum i am not sure but this mod certainly prevented registrations for me.

Hippy 02-11-2012 02:27 AM

yes I read it fast and though because of the un install .. this was preventing the prevented finalisation of registration

thanks for the heads up..

Hippy 02-11-2012 03:20 AM

DAMINK
I tested this is every way shape and form.. I can register with this mod on with vb4.1.10
I can register with it off ..
All emails go out and the usual moderation taken place to verify email accounts..
so this is mod is still working 100% with the current vb..
try to uninstall and re-install see if that helps you ..

DAMINK 02-11-2012 03:32 AM

Thanks for confirming that Hippy. It must be my setup causing it.

Hippy 02-11-2012 04:27 AM

np hope you figure it out..

too_cool_3 02-26-2012 07:21 PM

Does anyone know if this hack allows to force a thread read in a specified forum only when a user clicks the Post New Thread button?

Much appreciated,

Marc

killerford 02-29-2012 03:29 PM

I've added this and uploaded the folders, gone onto the settings and clicked enabled but still no settings on what message to put and where? Have I done something wrong

kylek 03-09-2012 07:17 AM

Just did a fresh install of this on vb 4.1.1, works great.

Mickie D 04-13-2012 05:37 PM

This Add's 0.3 of a second to all pages nearly.

I cannot say for 100% its 0.3 of a second (infact I know that would be different for all sites) but that is what it does on my site!

My Main Page loads at around 0.3 - 0.4

with this on it loads at around 0.6 - 0.7

Turn it off and its back to 0.3

Such a great hack too... but I cannot justify a 50% php load increase.

Regards
Mick

Anyone know how to remove "Force Read Thread" from the bottom of the Quick Reply box?

Edit: Nevermind. Found it.

poita 06-02-2012 02:05 AM

Have installed this on vbulletin 4.1.10 but have had to disable it immediately.

The hack ruins all the formatting of the website and stops tapatalk access to my site.

I will post up pictures to show you what I mean

I get database errors with the hack enabled on vb4.2.0 along with slower page load times.

JetLee 06-07-2012 04:35 PM

I get the following error:

So what's not working on mine? It's just a simple, straightforward 4.2 install.

khc196 06-13-2012 06:00 PM

can you make it so this will work with the modCP to please, works great for admins but we have ranks in our large guild and Sgt's are supermoderators but they only have access to the ModCP so we need them to be able to use this hack '

thanks

LgsOfChampions 06-13-2012 08:20 PM

Installed on 4.2, so far no issues!! I have also tested it and again so far no issues!!

how where u able to remove it from quick reply?

Sforums 06-18-2012 03:29 AM

Is there a way to allow moderators to initiate force read thread? At the moment only Admins can do this if I am not mistaken.

I've been looking for this also, cannot find it anywhere atm

K!nG 06-21-2012 02:24 AM

Since the coder of this mod Abe1 didn't come on from past 2 years.... isn't there a way that any other coder can modify this or if someone can update this for 4.2 ??? I think it will be appreciated by a lot of users :)
Thanks

afrizal 06-21-2012 03:02 AM
