Hello my dear friend!

Already thank you for all your help and good will, is really rare to see developers with the ability.

I updated my forum to the version that is here in the forum but had no effect, still having the same problem. I use the [HIDE-REPLY] link [/ HIDE-REPLY]

I have to do anything else?

Anything new friend?

Can you be more specific to what your issue is?

Are you seeing a parse error? Or what exactly is happening? Which is your forum?

Which hack (please provide link) are you using that is conflicting?

Doc2911 02-02-2012 04:22 PM

I `ve installed at vb4.1.10 without error massages, but if i want to verify my plug-in installation
i get this message

Error retrieving the return value from your forum. Please check your installation. You might have also entered the incorrect forum URL in the forum manager. Make sure that the URL is correct, starts with http:// and is the full default path to your forum)
This is the URL that we attempted to fetch: http://sbgenerals.net/forum.php/foru...hp?cmd=version
i know what it mean but the link is correct, so what is wrong??

If I use only this link
it works fine but i can't verify plug-in in my forumrunner account.

You need to set the forum URL in the Forum Manager to your BASE forum URL (normally this does not include "forum.php" or anything).

If you forum is http://www.yoursite.com/forum

that's what you enter into the Forum Manager.

If you have funky rewrite rules going on, all we basically need is the URL to the forum directory that the 'forumrunner' directory is off of.

DaffyDuck 02-02-2012 06:15 PM

How is it possible to save multiple "favorites" of the same forum, with different login credentials? Tapatallk does this, and it is very convenient to keep regular user and moderator (for example) as separate identities. I have not figured out if Forum Runner does this.

ClemsonJeeper 02-02-2012 07:15 PM

We do not support multiple logins. You will need to log out and log back in again.

Now I`ve tested all options but nothing works, with and without etc. I've get all times the same message.
The only option that works is that, I have described above. If i copy the link for testing after the error message, works only this link
the rest doesn't.
And it is all times the same error message y can see it above.

*edit for example
http://sbgenerals.net/forum/forumrun...hp?cmd=version
http://sbgenerals.net/forumrunner/re...hp?cmd=version

This does not work.

If it worked, you would see a response like this one:

http://www.forumrunner.com/forum/for...hp?cmd=version

Instead, I see your forum. This is not correct.

This one:

http://sbgenerals.net/forumrunner/re...hp?cmd=version

is the one that I would expect to work given your configuration but it doesn't look like you uploaded the forumrunner files to the right directory.

If you do not have a 'forumrunner' directory in your main forum directory, you didn't upload the files properly.

Doc2911 02-02-2012 08:54 PM

aahhh now I see where is the mistake, I'm a ***** it was to simple -.- i don`t had uplod the file only the files into the file forumrunner .... ohh man. Sorry for the mistake, one beer at my bill.

** yep 5 min later and i works perfect, thx for your help.

We are using latest FR on 3.7.6. We also use Sakera's Hide Poll Results Hack. When a poll is hidden, viewing from FR exposes the results. Any quick way to obscure that?

yesfans 03-26-2012 03:02 AM

Seems to be working for my on 4.1.11 with now issues.

woffie 04-14-2012 02:21 PM

O, I have the built in with 4.1.12. I have activated the mod in the ACP. Of course all the files were uploaded when I did the upgrade. Iget this error when trying to verify the app on the forum runner website

Is there plans to support BB in the near future?

Try using Vbulletin it might work..

woffie 04-14-2012 08:54 PM

I got it fixed.

gajinoz 04-14-2012 09:46 PM

Maybe this question is buried in the 12 pages somewhere but I didn't see it.

I'm currently running Tapatalk on the forum. Can Forum Runner work in parallel with that, i.e. can I have both working at the same time, or are they mutually exclusive?

CouponWCents 04-14-2012 09:54 PM

I don't know what happened but I installed this and it was working but I couldn't see my own avatar on my site. I could see others but not my own.

I uninstalled the whole thing and I still can't see my avatar.

What did I do wrong?

Update: I can use our default avatar but not a custom. This is so weird.

Pretty sure you can have both running at the same time, someone asked the same question over at vbulletin.com when they announced its integration with 4.1.12

princesspepper 04-16-2012 11:06 AM

I only have one issue with these additions. If a company such as forumrunner, or tapatalk want us to install their software on our forums, which will then enable them to make cash selling the app in the itunes store, or wherever, that's fine... but I think you should give forum owners a code to get the app for free.

I feel a little ripped off when I have to pay for an app to get full access to my own forum... just my opinion as a prospective user. This is the only reason I am reluctant to try it out, as I have already installed and paid for tapatalk on my forum, so why should I shell out more money for something similar? Where's the incentive for me to promote your product on my forum instead?

CouponWCents 04-17-2012 12:11 PM

Anyone know about my avatar situation? Custom avatars will not show up on my site for Moderators or above since I installed this. Even after uninstalling, they will not show.

ClemsonJeeper 04-30-2012 08:21 PM

1.7.3 has been released:

1.7.3
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Remove requirement for branded users to have a push notification account

Hostboard 04-30-2012 08:25 PM

Question... I have VB 4.1.12pl1 which now incorporated FR. What version comes with VB/how do you see what version it is? How do I upgrade to the latest/this newley released version? Is there any notification for forum owners to know there is an update?

ClemsonJeeper 04-30-2012 08:35 PM

If you are using the latest vBulletin, (4.1.12+), then when you upgrade the forum software, you will get the forum runner updates.

However, since the release cycles don't sync up, there may be a lag between the two.

If you want to force upgrade Forum Runner to the latest version and you are on 4.1.12+, log into the Forum Manager at forumrunner.com, choose 4.1.1-4.1.11 and download the add-on and fully install it (overwrite the forumrunner directory). This should work fine since they are basically the same code base. This may change in the future, but for now, it should work. Just be sure to do the full install (import the XML file, etc).

Here are a couple additions for the product..

What this does is fixes the WHO'S ONLINE PAGE so that it whill show that a user is using Forum Runner and give them a link to the developer website so they can get the app!

Also note, I did not phrase this as you need to add phrases to the product to do it but below is info on doing that if you wish. This requires two new plugins as follow:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

ADMINCP >> PLUGIN & PRODUCTS >> ADD NEW PLUGIN

Product - Forum Runner
Hook Location - online_location_process
Title - Forum Runner - WOL Online Location
Execution Order - 5

Plugin PHP Code
PHP Code:

if($filename=='/forumrunner/request.php'){
$userinfo['activity'] = 'Forum Runner';

Plugin Active - YES
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ADMINCP >> PLUGIN & PRODUCTS >> ADD NEW PLUGIN

Product - Forum Runner
Hook Location - online_location_unknown
Title - Forum Runner - WOL Online Location Unknown
Execution Order - 5

Plugin PHP Code
PHP Code:

if($userinfo['activity']=='Forum Runner')
{

$userinfo['where'] = '<a href="http://www.forumrunner.net/">Forum Runner</a>';

$userinfo['action'] = 'Forum Runner';

$handled true;

Plugin Active - YES

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, if these were phrased the code above could have been like this...

PHP Code:

if($userinfo['activity']=='Forum Runner')
{

$userinfo['where'] = '<a href="http://www.forumrunner.net/">'.$vbphrase[fr_forumrunner].'</a>';

$userinfo['action'] = ''.$vbphrase[fr_forumrunner].'';

$handled true;

Perhaps these two plugins and phrase can be added (Add phrase as Who's Online Phrase) ;)
