is this good to install for the vbulletin 4.1.9 and how is the support these days...?
|
Yes, it's fine for 4.1.9.
Support is pretty good too. |
Hi, does anybody know how to prevent autolinker from linking keywords in vbblog headings?
|
Can anyone tell me how to retrieve my login details for the pro version on the developer website? I've asked there a few times with no response. :(
|
Have you asked on the forum, or via email? I don't think we've had anything come through (although sorry if we've missed it)
|
Hi, I have asked via the forum, yes. My username there is the same as it is here.
|
I've just pm'd you ....
|
Got it, thanks :)
I was just wondering if it was possible to make this work on mods that are installed outside of the forum root? I use vBa Dynamics which installs at forum/dynamics, for example. None of the links work there, so I was wondering if there was something I could do to make them show up. |
For some reason this is not working for me in (Firefox and IE tested). It links and shows the icon, but no pop-up appears. I did enable the mod, the pop-up option and gave it content for a specific word. Running vb 4.2.0
|
If you want to send me a link to an example (either here on in private) I'll happily take a look

Here are screenshot examples.
Example link: http://www.talkjesus.com/bible-study...e-genesis.html The word exegesis Thank you |
Thanks. First thing I notice is that you haven't got a <script> tag to load autolinker.js. You want something like this just after the <body> tag:
script src="/autolinker/autolinker.js"></script> (there's more info in the README file that comes with Autolinker) Even then, it looks like there's another problem, as it isn't even attempting to hyperlink the exegesis keyword. Have you checked that the permissions template being used allows this keyword to show in this forum (and to your usergroup) ? |
What permissions template? I do not see anything about "permissions template"
|
Oh, sorry - permissions templates aren't part of the lite version. Anyway, I see you've added the script tag to load autolinker.js, and it looks like it's working now
|
How does it work on your end when its not on mine? Cleared cache, tried 2 browsers. It shows icon, but nothing pops up.
|
If I hover over exegesis, the box pops up (not over the icon though) - are you not seeing that? Any javascript errors in your browser? You might also want to try viewing the thread while not logged in, just in case that is somehow the problem
|
Your right, it only works when not logged in. What could be the cause?
|
I've registered as a user so that I can see what's going on, and autolinker.js isn't being loaded. So it looks as if the way you've added the <script> tag to your templates is causing it only to be included for guest users. Did you look at the README file included with autolinker? It includes an example of which template to edit
|
Hi there,
I'm running latest version vBulletin 4.2 PL2 and when I install autolinker lite, the admincp panel is blank. Any ideas on this one? |
Completely blank, or just the autolinker page? Your error_log is probably the best place to start - sounds like something is throwing an error

No, the commercial version doesn't have the backlink to us, or the alt image text.
Autolinker 2.0 actually became 1.3, and was released at the beginning of 2011 - I'll update the website to correct that |
I've been trying to access your website to possibly get the full version but I've been getting database errors for a couple of days now.

Is this mod still alive, and when was the last release? Are there any plans on updating it? I need a mod like this and interested in buying one, but from the looks of the mods website it appears to be dead. I did see the owner still making some responses on the forums of the mod website. |
Whoops, I've finally corrected that sentence about the 2010 release.
Yes, the mod is still alive. Not sure about a new release at the moment - it really depends if we can think of any significant enhancements. It's certainly still being supported though, and we'll be continuing to ensure that it works with the latest versions of vbulletin |
Does this mod work well with VB 5.X ?
I want to make sure before upgrading my VB software. |
We haven't tested in on VB5 yet. Did I read somewhere that VB said existing mods (for 4.x) wouldn't work with VB5 ? So the answer is probably not.
We'll certainly be releasing a version for VB5 though - might take a week or two, depending what changes are needed |
|
Yes, you could hyperlink a word without it also displaying a popup box. But there are probably simpler ways - the replacement variable manager in the admincp would probably do what you're wanting.
|
I have the commercial version installed and I'm having issues with a couple of things. It seems like it's hit or miss whether the words actually autolink.
Also, the end dates that I setup for numerous links are not being stored. |

hi all,
not work with vbulletin 4.2.0 Patch Level 3 version ? thanks for reply |
As far as I know, it's fine with 4.2. Can you give me any more details on what's not working please? Link to a page where keywords should be showing but aren't? (PM me if you don't want to post it in public)
|
Where can I buy the full version?
|
If you pop over to our website at http://www.autolinker.com/forum/content.php?22 , you'll see purchasing options
|
I am wondering if you can help me. I purchased Auto Linker Pro about 2 years ago and we just moved servers and on the new server we are running php 5.3 and the ZEN coding for the version of auto linker is not compatible with php 5.3 I am running version 1.1 of Auto Linker. Is there a newer version???
Thanks You V |
Just for anyone else having this issue: we ditched Zend after v1.1, so if you grab the latest verson (1.3, from the website) there won't be any Zend/PHP 5.3 issues
