That appears to be it - I must have made a mistake with the copypasta.

I'll report back in a bit after checking for error.

DragonByte Tech 03-19-2010 06:53 PM

Awesome :D

There was another error that happened while using Achievements with the = sign, but you already have the fix for that in the activity.php file you just put on your site :)

DragonByte Tech 03-19-2010 06:58 PM

The zip file has been updated with two small fixes that affected a limited number of users.
* You can now use the = comparison in Criteria without it resulting in errors.
* Posts from unregistered users will no longer cause database errors.

The only changed file in the zip is
/forum/dbtech/vbactivity/includes/libs/activity.php

Supramania 03-19-2010 07:44 PM

Looks clean - nothing in the slow query log or the mysql log. :)

DragonByte Tech 04-13-2010 11:02 AM

Can't say as I do, and your website doesn't exist it seems, so I can't go check for myself either.

Fillip.

Fillip.

Deffo does mate lol try www.progamerleagues.com/forum.php
Any ideas to solve it would be great as this is a superb mod.
Thanks

DragonByte Tech 04-13-2010 01:30 PM

For some reason, you are missing
PHP Code:

$includes '<script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/dbtech/vbactivity/vbactivity.js?v=' $vbulletin->options['dbtech_vbactivity_versionnumber'] . '"></script>'

from your vbactivity.php file - either that or your headinclude_bottom template variable is missing from your GENERIC_SHELL template.

The problem is that vBActivity isn't being fed its JavaScript file.

ProFifaLeagues 04-13-2010 07:02 PM

Thank you i will look into that now!!!

DaDarkDude 04-13-2010 08:07 PM

Installed. Great code!

DragonByte Tech 04-13-2010 08:14 PM

First you need to add Criteria:
Go to Manage Criteria, Add New Criteria, and then create the criteria you want to use (like "Posts >= 10" etc)

Then go to Manage Achievements, Add New Achievement and set it to use the Criteria you made in the previous step :)

Fillip

DaDarkDude 04-14-2010 01:11 PM

I'm having problems editting and adding achievements. I did everything you told me and sure enough; the options came out.
There's just one problem: the pages of the nav bar are blank. And I mean completely blank. I reuploaded the data three times and it didn't make a difference any time.
Is this a known issue, or did I make a mistake...?

DragonByte Tech 04-14-2010 05:07 PM

Can you show me your forum URL so I can look at this myself and try to see what's wrong?

Fillip

DaDarkDude 04-14-2010 08:39 PM

<a href="http://kingdomheartsmedia.com/forums/" target="_blank">http://kingdomheartsmedia.com/forums/</a>

Everything is working fine except for adding achievements.

DragonByte Tech 04-15-2010 04:57 PM

What did you mean, "pages of the nav bar"?

Fillip

DaDarkDude 04-15-2010 08:50 PM

I meant the sections in the ACP that allow you to edit the code.
(ACP sections)
vBActivity:
Manage Achievements
Manage Categories
Manage Criteria
Maintenance
Repair Cache
Settings

are all showing up as empty PHP pages.

DragonByte Tech 04-15-2010 09:01 PM

Can you access some form of error logs in your hosting control panel (like cPanel, LxAdmin, etc)?
If not, then you'll need to ask your host to show you how to turn on PHP errors, because I can't help debug that unless I know what's wrong...

Fillip

DaDarkDude 04-16-2010 01:33 PM

Sorry, but I don't really get what you want.. You want the error logs? Because we don't even have error logs showing up, just a blank page.
(You'll probably see a no permission mask, but:
http://kingdomheartsmedia.com/forums...do=achievement)
And all the other links are just appearing empty.
I'm thinking it's probably a problem with the php file..?

EDIT:
So, I just discovered something. It works in the modcp, but it's not working in the admincp... is that a known issue?

DragonByte Tech 04-16-2010 04:22 PM

No that's not a known issue, and it's never happened before on any other site.
Unless you can PM me with FTP details to your site, I can't look into this any further I'm afraid...

Fillip

DaDarkDude 04-17-2010 03:23 PM

Any luck? I sent you the FTP details..

DragonByte Tech 04-17-2010 03:31 PM

I'm a bit preoccupied by the new 4.5.0 Pro release of vBShout atm, but I'll get to it :)

DaDarkDude 04-17-2010 07:13 PM

No problem. Take your time. :D

DragonByte Tech 04-17-2010 11:59 PM

I believe that should fix it :)

The problem was that you had uploaded the vbactivity.php that was meant to go in the root folder to your /admincp/ folder.
I've re-uploaded every file and I believe it should be correct now, let me know if there's any further problem :)

SoltanWorld 04-18-2010 08:11 PM

i have update to 1.1.1 and achievement tab is not appearing, does it appear when some achievement earned by users ? or i have made a mistake ?

DragonByte Tech 04-18-2010 08:20 PM

Yeah, the tabs on the main Activity page only show up if there's content to display in them.

Fillip

SoltanWorld 04-18-2010 08:22 PM

Thanks filip and i want to know do you have any solution for Vbshout on Vba?

DragonByte Tech 04-18-2010 08:31 PM

Integration between the two products will be released once we've completed their normal feature sets :)

nitra1000 04-25-2010 07:13 PM

How do you disable the "Activity" tab on the main navbar?

Clear out the contents of the dbtech_vbactivity_navbar_link template.

insidedesign 05-02-2010 03:21 PM

{vb:raw headinclude_bottom}

Needs to be included!

DragonByte Tech 05-02-2010 03:33 PM

I'll add it to a future version, thanks :)

vBActivity was my first foray into making a dedicated vB4 page, so ropes were still being learned xP

insidedesign 05-02-2010 04:29 PM

I just installed the lite version, and ran the 'Recalculate Points' tool to get the system started. After that, the 'Activity Target' set itself to 93.91. Is this a good number?

Being that I don't have any experience with this MOD yet, what is a good 'Activity Target' and 'Activity Target: Minimum Points' setting? I understand it varies from community to community, but I just want some feedback....

DragonByte Tech 05-02-2010 04:31 PM

The target will always be the best number for your community, though I must warn you that the first day, week and month, the Daily, Weekly and Monthly stats respectively will be out of whack.

The system assumes every single point that's generated by past posts / threads etc came today, so that'll naturally upset the targets some.

Leaving it alone will mean it corrects itself over time :)

Very cool very cool! So if your community becomes more active, it automatically sets the bar higher to be 'active' - and visa versa. Very clever.

Also, one more thing (for now anyways =D):
In the postbit, I see your forum has daily and monthly activity indicators. Is this for the paid version only? I didn't see any details about this in the comparison page.

DragonByte Tech 05-02-2010 04:43 PM

Yeah vBActivity's comparison page is horribly out of date, written by someone who abhors writing documentation xP

Indeed the Daily and Monthly indicators in the postbit is Pro-only feature :)

It is indeed a pro only feature, the comparison page for VBA needs updated, which itwill be when the new version is released.

Thanks for catching that =)

If you have any other questions about pro the DBTech website is probably the best place to ask, just to make sure we stay well within the rules etc =)

nitra1000 05-05-2010 06:34 AM

HI Dragon Byte with introduction of a monthly goal, have/could it be setup to record the top 10 of a given month?

DragonByte Tech 05-05-2010 09:32 AM

Just now it will already display the top X users by a number of categories you can set

(sort by username, total points, daily activity, weekly activity, monthly activity, overall activity level)

Iain
