Please help me fix sidebar position and tabs position in Opera 10.10

Attachment 112395

In FF or IE this mod work fine!

CCux 02-16-2010 06:01 AM

Well, good job, works fine so far. Only thing not working for me is when i use short urls, if you have a url like like

wiki/Main_Page everything is fine, for a URL wiki/Main_Page/de the vbulletin header and footers are text only. Any ideas about that?

daddel80 02-16-2010 07:23 PM

I still have two different errors after upgrading MW to the correct version.

If i'm logged in it tells me on each page

Detected bug in an extension! Hook UserLoadFromSessionHook failed to return a value; should return true to continue hook processing or false to abort.

If i'm not logged there is no content.

Thanks for your help!

Same paths here too, still no go :confused:

starman? 02-17-2010 08:46 PM

Take the dot off the beginning of the relative path in your case I presume.

This should be voted as the best vb mod in history. You absolutely rock man. Congatulations! I can't wait to install the latest version.

nwestwood 02-18-2010 05:22 PM

I agree, I have been looking for a long time. This is exactly what we have needed.

Congratulations, this might have been a lot of work!!:up:

I still have the problem concerning the topics. (Topics will describe the layout of frames.).I figured out this might has nothing to do with pretty URL in MW.
  1. The topics where already defined before setting up vbMediawiki.
    Attachment 112572
  2. After the vbMediaWiki installation it looks like that
    Attachment 112575
  3. I tried to renew the topic but received an error message which told me that the Browser has garbeld characters in the Edit-Token. Therfore the page will not be saved. I did this with administrative User Rights.

I just found an issue that may be causing your problem. Are your CSS Stylesheets stored as files? (check your Style & Language settings in ACP options). If Yes then you will have this problem I think. Change to No and no problem as far as I can see.

Note to Bepe: This is definitely a problem. If CSS Stylesheets are stored as files (as explained above) then you get the error as mentioned by AURFSCAN and Desiderius.

AURFSCAN 02-18-2010 11:31 PM

THANKYOU starman......fixed

I hope this day... need to write the deinstallation code now... check all kind of things... copy all product related files from my local server ... reinstall my local server... install the product... and check all again

bepe 02-19-2010 08:00 AM

Ok, no problems on my local server... I think it's time to give it a try

Beta 8 released
- uninstall the old product first! ... then install the new beta
- make sure all files on the server get overwritten!
- there are new settings in the admin panel... it needs the Wiki DB settings and password now
- only use in test environments for now!
- I included a wiki the "User.php" now... make sure u are using MediaWiki version: 1.15.1

PS: I need to go now... will be back this evening...

Desiderius 02-19-2010 08:09 AM

perfect. Everything works fine now. I can see the header, no charset problems. Seems working fine!

Desiderius 02-19-2010 08:32 AM

oh i get an error when i try to search new wiki articles:

DB Settings are checked and are right?

Admin Control Panel -> Settings -> Options -> vBulletin MediaWiki: Options
Make sure there are the righ data for the "Wiki Database" ... check if it is the same as in your LocalSettings.php:
PHP Code:

## Database settings
$wgDBtype           "mysql";
$wgDBserver         "localhost";
$wgDBname           "wikidb";
$wgDBuser           "root";
$wgDBpassword       "*****";

# MySQL specific settings
$wgDBprefix         ""

... this are my settings

Works almost perfect... but they enabled a new thing...
Advanced search has two tabs now:
* Search Single Content Type
* Search Multiple Content Types
'Single Content Type' is broken :( ... I'm about to fix it

Big-Pete 02-19-2010 07:20 PM

Just noticed a problem, I just tried to save an article on the CMS and i kept getting an unexpected error, As this was the last mod installed and everything was ok earlier i just disabled this and i could then save the article ok..

I'll enable it again and try to reproduce the error

EdIT: All Seems to be working ok now, Can't reproduce the error :)

never seen the "unexpected error" message before, Very strange indeed..

Are u using 4.0.2 now?
... anyway, I can not think of anything in my mod that could cause that ...

Usual problems with Cyrillic and non-latin characters - displayed as "???" (forum works on UTF-8, DB on utf8-general-ci )
Attachment 112655
:rolleyes:
I need to add instruction in /packages/vbmediawiki/search/result/wiki.php
PHP Code:

@mysql_query('SET NAMES utf8');

after
PHP Code:

$wgDB mysql_connect($vbulletin->options['mediawiki_db_server'], $vbulletin->options['mediawiki_db_user'], $vbulletin->options['mediawiki_db_password']);

Attachment 112656 - in your source this function return '????????????????????' too?

Integration skin with Opera 10.10 with the same incompatibility, as shown in my #161 post.

Otherwise - great job!!! :up:

Not exactly sure what this does, I think it's more for setting the charset of the database, but not of the connection... anyway, it did not help

If needed I'm converting the strings to the forum charset now, should be fine
