No, I wasn't asking for FTP access... just the link to your forum so I could see exactly what it's doing now.

cloferba 01-30-2010 03:21 AM

i have upload it to my working site (not my localhost)

www.experienciaue.net

and same problem :s

pd:
i repeat...i have done all this steps
Quote:

1. Make sure you have vmoods version 4.1.0004 installed correctly

2. Go to Admin CP | Settings | Options -> vMoods by luqmanamjad.com

3. "Yes" to allow users to change their mood -> Yes

4. Check that List of Available Moods is the same as that listed in product-vmoods.xml (if it's a fresh install, and you've uploaded the files correctly, this should not be a problem)

5. Mood Pack: Select the mood pack you want to use

6. Dropdown Menu Options -> Select Show Images in drop-down

7. You MUST Rebuild All Styles if you change this option. Click here to Rebuild All Styles -< important step - this is the one yopu probably missed

8. Scroll down and click on Save

djbaxter 01-30-2010 04:00 AM

OK. I can guess that at least two things are very likely interfering:

1. The vBSEO Tweets gizmo. It's annoying and buggy. I advise you to dump it.

2. The popup ads that appear every time you switch pages. I assume that's using some sort of script which may very well be interfering with the scripts for this add-on.

You're also using the WYSIWYG enhanced editor, which is known to be buggy in 4.01.

@cloferba pm me admin details and I'll have a look later on!

@djbaxter, @TimberFloorAu thanks for offering support to users :)

cloferba 01-30-2010 10:44 AM

pm sended sniper.

djbaxter, i have disabled vbseo but it still...omg

-=Sniper=- 01-30-2010 12:16 PM

@cloferba the following fixed the issue Style & Language Setting => Store CSS Stylesheets as Files? => set to "No"

upgrade to the latest vBulletin and set to "yes" again! I think a recent vBulletin release fixed a bug related to this setting....

4.01 is the latest release for now (until next Friday) and setting this to "Yes" also interferes with a couple of other 4.x add-ons at least in this version.

I have two problems (I hope this is the place to report issues, as I see no place else):

1. When I install, the mood menu appears on the forum page, as expected. However, when a user selects one of the moods in the dropdown, nothing changes and the title of the dropdown remains "mood (none)" This happens no matter if the dropdown is text only, or pictures.

2. When I change the option for the dropdown to "pictures," (and, obviously, rebuild all styles), the dropdown menu list is blank for all items. The tooltip for each item in the list still works, but the items themselves are blank. When I change back to text, the text appears fine.

Stats:

First time install

vMoods ver 4.1.0004
vBulletin 4.0.1https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/02/82.jpg
PHP 5.x

Viewing in Win XP Firefox 3.0.4

All set - working perfectly! Thanks for a great mod.

Switch3130 02-08-2010 05:59 AM

also when you add the coding to the header, and turn off the auto-edit in navbar, when you go and try to select a mood the box disappears

djpatch 02-08-2010 08:27 AM

sorry for my english, i'm italian this mood dont work for me.
dont show the images in drop-down menu.
save file css = no
dir vmoods in http://myforum/vmoods
vbulletin 4.0.1
firefox

balkanboy 02-08-2010 08:31 AM

umm not sure if its a known bug but when i pick a mood is it ment to close the box on its own? because at the moment when you pick a mood it just keeps the drop down open.....

twgogo 02-08-2010 08:45 AM

Good Job

JonnyThunder 02-08-2010 11:05 AM

Hello,

I've installed the moods thingy and it seemed to work fine. I've got the moods in the menu bar and showing correctly, however I get these problems....

(1) If you select a mood on the forum, it jumps to the front page automatically on selection.

(2) The mood doesn't show for anybody (in their postbit).

Any ideas? It seems to function apart from this.
Cheers,
JT

EDIT: I've noticed too, that even if I choose a mood it still says (none). I think this is linked to the fact it jumps to the Home page. Is this mod only for VB forums and not Publishing Suite?

Ditto. It was working prior to 4.0.1 but now the images don't show and I've reinstalled 2 times and I've been using Vbulletin for 10 years so I'm not a noob. Only the none image shows........

Disabling it for now as I don't have time to troubleshoot it.

We have it installed and working through Publishing Suite so don't think its an exclusive mod for just vB Forums.

djpatch 02-08-2010 08:02 PM

dont work for me
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/
dont show the images in drop-down menu.in postbit yes

JonnyThunder 02-09-2010 08:57 AM

Ah well, i'm gonna disable it too until it's fixed. Cheers guys.

-=Sniper=- 02-09-2010 05:00 PM

if when clicking a mood it jumps to the top of the page (sounds like the javascript link is missing...), I'd suggest uninstalling/installing. I don't think there is anything for me to fix, I have installed on a number of boards without any issues.

the issue is/was https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=169 if you aren't seeing the mood images I'd suggest following what I mentioned in the above post => Style & Language Setting => Store CSS Stylesheets as Files? => set to "No"

Its also designed to work with the Publishing Suite as well as the forum.

JonnyThunder 02-11-2010 11:42 AM

My 'store CSS stylesheets as files' is already set to No. I Can see the mood images fine - I just can't choose any of them. It always remains at none and always jumps to the forum homepage.

Probably just as well I can't get it working cos my postbit is gettin a bit crowded!

I used this mod on vb 3.8 and it was really popular and worked perfectly - so thanks regardless. It's a good mod and I'd recommend it!

Finally installed this after the vB 4.0 upgrade. Thank you for updating this, -=Sniper=-! :)

Thought I'd give my 2 cents.

2. When viewing any thread on the forums, if I try to change my vMood, I am taken to the home URL, which in my case is the CMS page. This happens ONLY when I try to change my vMood from a thread.

Dear JonnyThunder, as you can see above, I had a similar problem.

However, after a while, the problem got sorted out itself. I use Firefox, by the way.

All I recall doing was a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5). Then I simply logged out and logged in once again.

Not sure if that fixed it, but you can give it a try. :)

Just wondering, is it possible to put this in the same line of the navbar, but on the extreme right, i.e. on the left of "Advanced Search"?

I tried but couldn't place "{vb:raw vmoods_list}" properly.

Bump.

Could you please let us know whether this is possible, RS_Jelle? :)

thanks sniper... i wonder how come can't find a list of mood images that we can just copy and paste it to vMoods by luqmanamjad.com acp option....coz the default list there is not complete....so we have to enter some manually...please include to the Shelley_93x30 folder my attachment complete mood image list info below...
so anyone can simply copy all the list and paste it to your vMoods by luqmanamjad.com acp option...

thanks and best regards...

problem for djpatch was fixed by reverting the changes made by https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=110

so if you have a similar problem I'd suggest reverting the vmoods_css_include template...

MickLite7 02-12-2010 05:15 PM

Where can I find the vMood icons? I've looked all over???

mabersoft 02-12-2010 05:56 PM

are you going to try and make it so there is no template edits? and we can select what appears etc? something like that.

there are NO template edits as it uses the hooks provided by vBulletin, however you can choose to disable the auto edits via the admincp.
