UPDATE:

Eric hasn't had time to work on this mod. And he's graciously allowed me to contact Coroner to request that I completely take over development and support of this mod. Coroner has given that permission and I will be posting a completely new version in the next couple of weeks.

Here is the work that is already completed and planned...

No longer need to make template changes to forumdisplay template. - DONE
No longer need to make template changes to usercp_shell template. - DONE
No longer need to make template changes to showthread template. - DONE
Fix - Donations can only be accepted by coders or designers. - DONE
Fix - Sort by mod/developer. - DONE
Fix - Display of Tagged/Installed/Downloaded in forumdisplay. - DONE
Fix - Display of Installed/Developer graphic in threads. - DONE
Add - Tag mod selection in mod information block. - DONE
Add - Download count in thread display. - DONE
Add - Install count in forum display. - DONE
Fix - Sort by install count on forum display. - DONE
Fix - Modifications Member Profile display. - DONE
Fix - Article Display link in Member Profile. - DONE
Remove unused templates. - DONE
Correct errors and warnings. - DONE
Fix - Moved all templates related to Modsystem to Modsystem template group. - IN WORK STAGE
Add - 'Updated' to forum display. - PLANNED
Remove redundant download log from database. - PLANNED

Once the last 3 items are done, the new version will be posted.

I do have one question for everyone... How important are the licensing and certified seal options to you?

The attached file is a screenshot of Coroner's permission for me to take over this mod.

EDIT: I've also received permission from Paul M. to continue to use the original javascript from vBulletin.org with this mod.

I want to make some changes in it link in place of modifications I want to use! "Books". and in place of Installed I to use "Read" how can I do this please guide me I shall really be thankful to you.

There will still be some small things that need to be done, so I'm not going to be able to release it this week like I had hoped.

I also want to make it so my version installs and runs without touching the original version. That way if there is a problem, I don't crash anyone's existing system.

Did you do the template edits in the read me file? Did you select the forum for mods in the settings? Did you assign a forum ID for coders in the settings?

If you answered yes to all of those, wait a few more days for my version of this mod. I am now making final adjustments and waiting on an answer from vb.org on how to go about releasing it here.

they are phrases

modsystem_mark_installed = Mark as Read
modsystem_reuseable_code = Re-useable code
modsystem_the_developer = The Developer

the xml for this is language_english.xml

to change the phrases do the following

admincp >> Languages & Phrases >>
click Search in phrases

Search for Text : modsystem_mark_installed

this will allow to to change the phrase from Mark as Installed to Mark as Read

i hope this is enough infor to help you seek for the rest of the phrases

I've installed Mod-System under VB 4.1.8 and all was fine until I activated MOTM.
As soon as I've setup all needed fields and forum and activated MOTM I've got this SQL error:

have you set the right Forum ID for MOTM, also not installing or modifying it in debug mode ?

Yes, I think I've setup all what is needed. See attached images
No debug mode is active as far as I can see.

Here all "Modification system" options are working fine except for MOTM: http://www.thinbasic.com/community/s...5761#post85761

Maybe MySQL version is too old for that query syntax? Official minimum requirement for vBulletin is MySql 4.1.0: https://www.vbulletin.com/faq.php#faq-125
