Yes - read manual :D It is clearly written that you have to configure at least your forum language.

Hey i got it all working and installed BUT when i choose a language for example FR and start looking at posts and different pages other then FORUMHOME when i try to click on ENGLISH again its not changing back to my default language the LINK is still =fr the only way i can get it back to default is to go back to FORUMHOME then click on english that is when the english button link is set to my normal forum link...

Does your forum really have vb directory in URL? If yes then it seems to be OK. If not - remove it.

vBET will work with all templates. You can encounter issues with flags if your templates was changed, but vBET supports custom place for flags - so you can configure everything very easy :)

My vBSEO sitemap plugin has submitted around 6 milion urls to google. When i log in to the 'webmaster' tool on google I see some warnings coming up about the fact that the url's are being 'redirected' (because of the translated topic titles in the url's) and that it is advised to have the final url's in the sitemap.

I have two questions:
1) Are these pages still going to be indexed?
2) How long can it take before the new pages get indexed? Couple of months or less.. ?

We bought this great plugin a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for it.. now let's hope google get's all the pages indexed :)

When I disable the mod, everything goes back to normal, unfortunately, I have vBSEO 3.5 installed with vb4 and when I add in the rules for vbseo in .htaccess I get this page where all images are gone, but all my writing and subforums and links are on the LEFT side, but everything else is blank white, what might be the problem?

So some template cannot be evaluated there. If you can echo which one is that and what is it's content that would be very helpful.
Also if you are using some other plugins - please check does it is not some conflict - temporary disable those and see does vBET will work.
2. If you disabled vBET simply comment additional rules in your .htaccess file.

I have vbseo and the cms is at mysite.com/content/

when I tried to translate the cms home the url window flash between these two address

If you are using vBSEO please check does your .htaccess rules are appropriate and your links type configuration in vBET main options. The issue can be there.

If not... Such issue is described first time and I do not know how to reproduce it. Please PM me access details to your Admin CP + FTP. I will correct it there.

Does anyone have this working with GCBOS on their site as well. I have been playing around and the 2 dont seem to play nice very good. Everything works ok untill one of the flag's is clicked. Then the GCBOS starts going nuts.

I have read the instructions several time, checked with host to confirm CURL and iconv.
I have tried to install several times, each time with same result
either a blank page for my forum home page or 500 error.
Would very much like to see this working on my site. woudl probably go for the pay version also if it is successful.

This is a great addon, I'm running it on vb4 and just updated to 4.02 (latest) and a problm still exists. Kind of a strange problem. Here's what it is:

Evreything works. It didn't work well until I changed the Link Type setting to VBSEO_URI. But yesterday I noticed that if you log out, the thread page you are viewing begins to refresh itself in a continuous loop.

Product vB Enterprise Translator is up to date.
Installed Version 2.4.3
Latest Version 2.4.3

You can see the constant refresh on this page for example - http://www.wauseon.com/it/expositor-...e-limited.html , no need to be logged in. Actually logging in fixes it. Have only checked it in IE8 and Chrome, it doesn't happen using Chrome. Cleared all cookies and history in IE8 and it still does it.

Also when I move the location of the flags to the footer bottom, the hover language hints go away. A minor thing :)

If tou are asking about paid one then you can buy it with branding free license, or without it. Just please note paid version is not yet released for vB4.0, but it will be very soon. We was ready to release vBET4.0 today, but it was tested on vB4.0.1 and it appears that vb4.0.2 has new bugs and we had to hold on.

Then - try it firs with language= links type. Then you will be sure that there is nothing missing in your libraries. And when you switch to SEO type and it stops working then you can be sure that the issue is inside of .htaccess rules :) So check it again - are you using right one (separate for vbSEO), are you using it in right place, and if your forum uses subdirectory in URL did you changed rules appropriately (if run with vbseo).

Please do it and contact in case if issue still exists - in 3.8 version thread :)

What is funny on other translations it doesn't happens.

So diagnose is - session is lost there. Most probably it is not vBET issue since it is working in all other places. Is seems like something between browser and server. And because under chrome it is working then I assume that it is some IE8 error or vB error (which has lot of code specially for IE)... I know that it is also convenient for me, but it is like I see it and I do not imagine what I could do with that...

About your flags in footer bottom - default positions will work for default layout, default templates and if other plugins do not made changes in those templates. Otherwise results can be not predictable - can work perfect or not at all ;)
That is why vBET supports also custom place. So just use it and it will be OK :) You can also change vBET template for flags.

Thanks for the reply. It was doing it on anything I checked, on two different computers. But doesn't seem to be happening now even with IE8. What was more weird was, I tried logging into the admin section and turn the addon off, but since I was logged out it asked for the password in the main frame. I gave the password and it gave me that translated page in the frame.

I don't know why it suddenly stopped happening, but oh well - its a great product, and if that comes back it won't affect indexing by search engines anyway.

You have to change your MySQL server configuration for wait_timeout - right now DB just waits too long to get results from Google. Sot it just doesn't go to cache, but translation is made so user see it appropriately.

Does it happens when you have links type with 'language='? If it happens only for SEO links then you have wrong .htaccess file. If happens for booth types then I need additional details - like when it happens (only on mail page, on all pages, on not translated too).

Also make sure that you have installed in your php modules: ICONV and CURL
